I'm not sure exactly when Hubba's opened in Port Chester, N.Y., but it had to have been prior to the early 1970's, which is when I started going there as a teenager.
Now some may say it looks like a dump, and it would be true, but forget all that, sit your butt down on one of maybe 15 counter only seats, and order what I call "good grease"...a chili cheeseburger wedge with onions or some fries with the same!
The walls are covered in dollar bills with all sorts of words of wisdom from the people who frequent this joint...some famous, some infamous, others, just regular people who know where to chow down 23 hours per day 7 days per week!
