Interesting and creative breakfasts. The omelets are a treat. Much too expensive though. No waitress service.

A fine choice for weekend brunch, especially when the weather's nice. But the best reason to go here is the amazing cakes, pies and pastries. Beautiful and delicious - if you need to bring a special treat to someone, check out their selection. Normally I'm a fiend for chocolate but their fruit tarts are out of this world.

Jean Jacques is a love hate situation. Have gone there for years but have been unimpressed as of late. The croissants are not buttery enough, the brioche is awful. The best item is the French toast which is a must have. As for the rest, overpriced and just not good enough.

In the classic French fashion, the counter help (no wait service) treats the patrons as an inconvenience. Beyond that, however, breakfast offerings are reasonably priced and diverse. The rest of the menu includes very good sandwiches and burgers, crepes for Sunday brunch, cheeses and soups. If entrees are good, desserts are amazing and really the establishments bread and butter. The restaurant recently re-offered glasses of lower-end wine and some nice samplers which are fun for sitting outside weather permitting. In short, worth a trip.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch with friends here prior to taking in a movie at the nearby Jacob Burns Film Center. (You can get a free tea or coffee with a ticket stub.) There is no waiter service; you order and pay for your food, and then sit down at a table. You then pick up your food when your name is called out. The variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and other offerings is large enough that anyone can find something tempting. I had a curried turkey salad wrap, which was quite tasty. Our friends had the same, but in sandwich form, and a panini. They raved about it. For real temptation, one can spend some time looking at the pastries available. I believe that I gained two pounds just LOOKING at them. There are some outside tables as well.
