My wife and I had a wonderful lunch with friends here prior to taking in a movie at the nearby Jacob Burns Film Center. (You can get a free tea or coffee with a ticket stub.) There is no waiter service; you order and pay for your food, and then sit down at a table. You then pick up your food when your name is called out. The variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and other offerings is large enough that anyone can find something tempting. I had a curried turkey salad wrap, which was quite tasty. Our friends had the same, but in sandwich form, and a panini. They raved about it. For real temptation, one can spend some time looking at the pastries available. I believe that I gained two pounds just LOOKING at them. There are some outside tables as well.

Jean Jacques has mastered the art of serving delicious food in a "cafeteria" style with a French twist. Aside from the tables too close together in the seating area, the place is always a breath of fresh air, whether you want a coffee, a leisurely brunch or a unique lunch. Their french toast, quiche, and pastries are the best around - not a bad sandwich or soup to be had and the staff is friendly and eager to please.

I have read the many favorale reviews but my personal view is different. Is it the French name or the snooty layout? I find this not worth the touble to park, stand in line and get the overpriced foor.

Delicious pastries and yummy food! This place is in a good location and offers parking which allows for easy access. If you are walking its only two blocks from the train station. They offer a huge variety of pastries and I have never had a bad one. I've ordered many. They also offer a wide array of French bistro style menu choices. It's a great place to grab lunch, dinner or for just coffee and pastries. I definitely recommend it!
