Description: A three-month renovation has expanded the original restaurant layout to create a new open floor plan that seamlessly transitions the restaurant from day to night. Erie Grill makes a statement with modern decor. Following lunch, the restaurant transitions itself into a lounge-like dining and drinking atmosphere by revealing liquor selections behind the bar, showcasing a vast wine selection, and softening lighting for the evening hours. The menu offers a variety of crave-able Contemporary American cuisine that encompasses both coursed meals and smaller plates to share at a range of price points. Executive Chef John Freezee and Sous Chef Doug Dake imaginatively utilize seasonal ingredients to present the finest in regional cuisine; popular dishes include Steak Tartare Pizza, Duck Meatballs, and Rabbit Sausage with Orecchiette.

Located in the Delmonte Lodge, the Erie Grill is a hidden gem. Service is great, atmosphere wonderful also. You have to try whatever the fresh fish special happens to be! For appetizers try the sliders, crab cakes and wings...you may not want dinner after that

The Erie Grill delivers a constantly great experience in terms of food, drinks and service. Kristina has been our server at all of our visits and she's always caring and attentive (plus she has a great memory, remembering my wife and I after our first visit). Check the website for the daily drink specials (we especially love the Tuesday night's half off on wine bottles and no corkage fee). The menu has a short list of appetizers, a nice selections of small plates and regular size dinner entrees. Desserts are great too (definitely try the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which comes directly from the nearby Village Bakery). The only downside is the closeness of the bar, which can be pretty crowded and noisy especially during the happy hours (4-7).

During the PGA a group of friends had lunch at the Erie Grill. One said the turkey burger was the best she's ever eaten. Several had the beet salad and also thought it to be very good. I had a crab cake and while it was delicious, it was very small as was the side of field greens and warm tomatoes. If lunch had been accompanied by rolls instead of thinly sliced baguette, I may have felt more satisfied. One friend with a bigger appetite ordered two entrees. The service and atmosphere were both up to par!

Dined in the Erie Grill twice on my first day of my stay. Had a late lunch of tomato bisque soup and a Black Angus Burger that was the most outstanding one that I have ever had! Fresh fruit was offered as a side. Kristina, my server at dinner was outstanding in terms of menu knowledge, efficiency, personality, and skill. Had a bowl of the tomato bisque soup, grilled sea bass with roasted potatoes, and flourless chocolate cake. A $4 draft beer of a local product was exceptional. Jacqueline, the manager was both personable, caring, and visible throughout the meal. Rachel and Ben, also helped Kristina out during the meal. The Erie Grill was just renovated, and looked like a brand new restaurant with new furnishings, carpeting, and lighting.

Looking forward to many more outstanding meals here during my two week stay for the PGA Championship. Many thanks to Kristina for helping to make my first dinner here most memorable!

I had breakfast at the Erie Grill on a Wednesday. I arrived ahead of my two colleagues, but was seated at a table and offered coffee right away. The waitress made me an off-menu iced coffee, which was greatly appreciated.

I had the Asparagus, Mushroom and Goat Cheese omelet, which overall didn't have enough veggies or cheese in it to compete with the ratio of eggs to fillings. The breakfast potatoes were delicious.

Our waitress was very nice though, and the decor is a very light color palette that was soothing. The air conditioner was turned up a little too high. The restaurant overlooks the Erie Canal, which is a nice backdrop to breakfast.
