We ate at Olives tonight for the first time, and I must admit that I was expecting a little more. Their food is supposedly Greek, although most of the Greek food I've had in my time was better than this. I had a shrimp dish served with rice, a tomato sauce, and some other sauteed veggies. It wasn't bad tasting, but I could have done as well myself cooking at home. The marinated meat on my wife's gyro platter was tasty, according to her, although not necessarily Greek. The "special salad dressing" was basically an oil-and-vinegar without any noticeable flavor besides the oil and vinegar.
Overall, this restaurant is busy, so I'm sure it has a devoted following. But I'd have to grade the food as mediocre, and DEFINITELY below the level of Aladdin's (right down the street). Although the food here is quite edible, I probably will not come back to this restaurant.
