Owner description: Situated high on Torrey Ridge overlooking one of the deepest parts of Seneca Lake is Fox Run - with fifty-five acres of vineyards producing a remarkable range of fine wines. Behind the winery a vast expanse of vinifera vineyards produce award-winning Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. Plantings of Lemberger, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Gewurztraminer position Fox Run's future on the cutting edge of the Finger Lakes' wine industry. We welcome you to join us in the tasting room, open year round from 10-6 Monday through Saturday and 11-6 on Sundays. (Closed New Years Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.) And don't forget to mark your calendars for the Annual Glorious Garlic Festival, the first full weekend of August every year!

“Great Food & Wine...with a Sublime View!”
Reviewed October 9, 2011

We sought out Fox Run Winery after reading about winemakers Peter Bell and Tricia Renshaw in Evan Dawson's compelling new book about Finger Lakes wines....Summer in a Glass. Fox Run has a wonderul and reasonable lunch cafe with gourmet salads and sandwiches. You can sit out on a large balcony...Seneca Lake spreading out before you...and feel like you're having one of those perfect moments....with great food and wine....in the perfect setting! Don't forget to have a tasting!.....so reasonable! ($2 per person for at least 5 great wines!)....with knowledgeable and friendly people pouring!

“Great Food as Well as Wine!”
Reviewed September 14, 2011

On a recent trip to the Finger Lake area of New York State, we met our American friend at the Fox Run Winery for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food that was offered to us in their casual cafe style dining area. We each picked a different gourmet quality sandwich made from fresh meats and vegetables and served on the most delicious home made breads. They were all grilled to perfection and served to us on the outdoor deck overlooking the lake. We ordered both the Riesling and Cab wines and stayed on that deck the entire afternoon enjoying the wine and atmosphere of this great find!

Attached to the cafe is an interesting gift store that sells the winery's wine as well as wine related articles that were most interesting. We thorougly enjoyed the friendly staff, the great food and the tasty wine of Fox Run. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area!

“Garlic Festival at Fox Run Vineyards: worth a visit!”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

If you plan to be in the area in early August, the Garlic Festival at this winery is a very entertaining event to attend. It runs for 2 days and draws a large crowd. It's not huge but has many tents with demos (cooking, garlic braiding, etc.), vendors, music, and food to eat at picnic tables. Also sangria and other beverages. Lots of fun for a couple of hours of entertainment!

“enjoyable visit”
Reviewed June 26, 2011

Tasting at the winery was slow due to the sudden crowd of people at Fox Run but we did finally enjoy a nice selection of wines.
Not overly impressed with the cafe. We ordered the chicken salad on a basil roll and found only a small amt. of dry chicken and cheese on the sandwich. Not a typical chicken salad that we are accustomed to. The salad that came with the sandwich was very good. Staff very friendly.
Will return to the winery but probably eat lunch elsewhere.
