“Excellent view and very clean roon”

I was very impressed with the location of this hotel. I took the Metro North train from NYC and the hotel is about a 15 minute walk up a hill from the Peekskill train station. Along the way, there are 2 neat little bars. The room I stayed at had a great view of the area below: I enjoyed watching the passenger trains come and go on the East side of the river, and the freights on the West side. The hotel room was very clean. The shower had excellent hot water. The water tasted good, too.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view and ask to see the room before you agree to pay.

Me and my wife decided to stay here while visiting our son who lives locally. We stayed a total of six nights. As soon as we drove onto the property we noticed how nice the gardens were kept and how clean the facility was. We stayed at this hotel once before when it was the Peekskill Motor Lodge and were not impressed with the place. it is nice to see that the people in charge are taking the time to take care of the place, both inside and out. We spoke with Debbie to make the reservations and it was nice to meet her upon check-in. We also met Steve the caretaker who helped us to our room, brought us a refrigerator for the room and even suggested places to eat and some stores for us to buy a gift for our son. We had an issue with our toilet at 1:00 am and steve was there to fix it moments after calling about the problem. It was this kind of hospitality and charm from the staff that we never seem to get in the chain hotels. The rooms were small but clean and the view of the Hudson river and surrounding mountains was breathtaking. Overall a very pleasent experience.

This hotel was a good value for the money -- beautuful view of the Hudson, but road noise as close to highway -- It was a great jumping off point for visiting West Point & Sleepy Hollow.

We lost electricity during Hurricane Irene and we spent four days there. I have stayed at many Hotels and Motels ranging from $100 - $500 per night and they can't compare to the service and hospitality of the Inn on the Hudson. Even their daily continental breakfast exceeded my expectations. The views were amazing from all rooms.
The restaurant overlooks the pool and the Hudson River and their menu has a wide range to choose from.

Most rooms have a balcony and though they are in the progress of many updates, the rooms were spotless and the grounds impeccable. Safe, clean, convenient with view to die for, don't hesitate to make a reservation.

We were evacuated during hurricane Irene. Have four dogs, three tiny toy dogs and one big dog. We had no place to go and found it difficult to find accommodations that were pet friendly and available. Most were booked. We flew in blind and did not know what to expect once we got there. It was a pleasant surprise to find the rooms clean, the hotel staff are warm, compassionate and professional. When we needed something it was there within five minutes. Check in was less than a five minute wait. The beds were very comfortable, we both slept well considering the Hurricane. The staff did everything in their power to provide comfort and security to us during this scary time. The food was very good at the restaurant downstairs. I would definitely go back under better circumstances!

Our normal travel lodging choices are bed and breakfasts or quaint inns. For this trip we needed an affordable option near the commuter train to get into New York CIty for a daytime appointment. We needed to leave quite early in the morning and the continental breakfast offered as early as 5:30am was just what we needed. We stayed two nights and found the inn to be just right for our needs. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean. We were on the second floor with a wonderful view of the Hudson River, wicker chairs and table on the porch to enjoy being outside in the evening. We were within walking distance of restaurants and the train station. We ate at the restaurant at the inn on the second night and had a good meal as well. It certainly is a bit dated but in a way that is what gives it its charm. I would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room with a view of the river

The hotel is in o.k. shape. the room was clean ,check in was easy and a very polite front desk. There is a nice view of the river.
After a 5+ hr. ride I wanted something to eat. The bartender gave me a menu and never returned. She was too busy talking. The room came with a refrigerator and microwave, well I think someone just opened the door and placed them inside. We had to put them on the table and plug them in. The bedding was not the best quality but the be was comfortable. Continental breakfast was o.k..

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms acesses from the back .you drive right up the your door and provide the best view of...
