“Fabulous Fourth of July Getaway”

We have stayed at several B & B's on the North Fork but the Harvest Inn surpassed all the others. Gracious and fun hosts, delicious breakfasts, and beautifully decorated and spacious rooms made for a very comfortable experience. The luxurious linens and down pillows made for a restful stay. Even though we had been to the North Fork many times they gave us insights and recommendations that were especially helpful. They are warm and generous hosts who you feel you have known forever. We can't wait to go back!

We spent a very memorable weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Harvest Inn. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and Chris’ breakfasts were delicious, fresh and cooked with love and attention to detail. Our conversations with the hosts about food and travel were fascinating. They also made excellent recommendations to help us find suitable activities, wineries to visit and restaurants to eat at.

Just got back from a bachelorette weekend of wine tasting in Long Island. We stayed at the Harvest Inn and it was just fabulous. The inn is new, but built to look old, so it has character but the rooms are immaculate. Clean, comfortable, and bright (the photos on their web site really do not do this place justice). But the reason to stay here is more the innkeepers. Darolyn helped us plan our entire weekend - she recommended restaurants and wineries, made our dinner reservations, set up our wine tour, and booked appointments for us at all the vineyards. We felt like royalty and were specially welcomed everywhere we went as guests of the Harvest Inn. Chris is a great chef - the breakfasts were divine. Plus they did a wine tasting and we got a free bottle of wine. 5 stars all around!

Room Tip: Stayed in the Bay Cottage Room - was very beachy and bright.

Went to Long Island for a wedding and booked The Harvest Inn after reading the reviews and it more than met our expectations .
Darolyn and Christopher could'nt have been nicer or more helpful as this was our first visit to Long Island they had plenty of recommendations .
The Inn is a beautiful house in immaculate condition large rooms with all you need for a relaxing holiday .
Breakfast was a culinary delight with more than enough to satisfy the taste buds

Not one for wineries but plenty of other things to do and Darolyn happy to help organise anything we needed .
A great stay

This was our second visit to the Harvest Inn in less than nine months! Despite, it being a holiday weekend, they were able to squeeze us in for a much needed trip to the vines. There is just something about the Harvest Inn that causes you to be relaxed and really feel like miles away from reality, despite it being only 100 miles from our home/lives.

This is by far one of the best B&Bs we have been to world-wide. Only built 8-9 years, it has all the amenities one would want of a brand new resort, yet it has that old world charm that a B&B should have. The rooms are very large, meticulously maintained, and appear to be professionally decorated since everything matches and looks straight out of a magazine. We have even asked Darolyn for the paint names in some of the rooms since we love the colors. The location of the B&B is also what makes this place a must when visiting the wineries of the North Fork. In fact it is across the street (Lenz), diagonal (Pindar) and next to (Raphael) three wineries and short bike ride to 3-4 more!

Darolyn and Chris (Innkeepers) are the most accommodating and caring hosts we have ever met. Whether it is early in the morning or late at night, they are always willing to offer suggestions on wineries, restaurants and things to do in the area. They have helped us multiple times get reservations to places when they are tough to get in. Very caring and down to earth people that we all hope to meet during a weekend getaway.

Lastly, the food (breakfasts) at the Harvest Inn are reason enough to stay there! Chris always incorporates fresh local ingredients with every meal. He does a fresh fruit course followed by something to make your taste buds go crazy and waist line cringe. We had a Wild Mushroom and Spinach Quiche with roasted asparagus with lemon and sea salt! Yes this is breakfast....

Can't wait to go back!!!!!

Room Tip: Be sure to enjoy some time on the hugh front wrap around deck while watching the sunset and sipping...

Unfortunately, I've never had the pleasure of staying here but after I left a message asking if pets and children were allowed, I promptly received a message back from Darolyn that was extremely kind and generous. She very thoughtfully explained why they do not allow pets and children and then proceeded to give me helpful suggestions as to where else to turn for our weekend stay. This level of customer service is what sets some businesses apart. I'll be sure to return when we can get a babysitter!

We celebrated our first anniversary at the Harvest Inn and had a fantastic stay. Darolyn and Christopher are such great hosts! Before our trip even started, we already had a long list of culinary and other local treats lined up thanks to them! This was followed by warm hospitality and lots of great suggestions for things to see and do in the area throughout our stay.

Other reviewers have sung Christopher's praises as a chef, and he did not disappoint! We were thoroughly spoiled (and stuffed) by his creations in the kitchen. Both he and Darolyn had great advice for wineries and restaurants in the area. Our favorites included the North Fork Table & Inn and Jamesport and Paumanok vineyards.

For lovers of the outdoors, we could recommend a stroll (and picnic) in Orient Beach State Park at the tip of North Fork.

The Harvest Inn is beautifully appointed and maintained. We stayed in the Bay Cottage Room, which was very cute, though the bathroom was a bit tight, and we found it noisier than expected given its location at the front of the house.

All in all, a great way to celebrate our first year of married life. This will not be our last visit!

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, suggest asking for a room in the back to avoid noise from the road an...
