Beautiful campground. We stayed three nights in the presidents lodge, and literally had the entire facility to ourselves. There was still snow on the ground and the lake was frozen, but couldnt have asked for a more peaceful location to escape from it all. Only other life we encountered was "cc" the camp kitty who made for a great companion. Highly reccomend for those who are looking to escape everyday cell phones, people and society in general.

If you’re like me, you might be wondering why there are not many posts about White Pine Camp. After visiting there four times and having my wedding there in September, I know why: for anyone who has been to White Pine Camp, they want to keep it quiet – “Shhh, don’t tell, it’s the most amazing place ever!” But when I saw the post below I felt I had to share my experience. I’ve visited White Pine Camp four times as a vacationer and I also had my wedding there this September. In short, this is the most perfect place for a magical, beautiful, unforgettable, elegantly simple, and special vacation, reunion, or wedding. As a vacationer it offers a unique, serene, cozy, and relaxing time filled with fireplaces, outdoor fun, kayaking and canoeing, walks and hikes, lazy book reading, bowling in the 1920s onsite alley, and quite reflection on your porch or elsewhere on the expansive property. White Pine Camp and all of the (small) staff who work to make it the special place it is, are incredible. They are caring, helpful, and extremely dedicated to the special place and guests’ experience there. Drive the beautiful drive to this gem, open wonderful old gate, and find yourself at this special spot. We were so pleased with the camp that we booked our wedding for the next available weekend in Fall: over a year and a half after we got engaged. Believe me, it was worth the wait. From my first contact with the camp manager, Lyn, my-prewedding concerns about all the detail were put at ease. I was provided with recommendations of vendors based on personal experience (a huge help), openness to my ideas about our event, and excellent communication about any questions I raised (and I had many!). This is not the place for cookie-cutter weddings: you won’t be just another wedding here and you won’t be bumping elbows with the wedding scheduled right after you. Instead, it is the best place for a beautiful, rustic, enchanting experience. When our guests arrived we heard more compliments about the grounds and rooms than you can image. So many of them vowed they’d now be returning (like we will be!) year after year. And after the event, we heard more “This was the best wedding ever!” than you can image. This is a really special place. You can look for hours and hours and you will not find anything like White Pine Camp and the experience it offers.

I found this place while doing research on places to hold an intimate wedding. Their website promotes what a wonderful location this is, how helpful they will be, all the vendors they have access to, and on and on and on. Well, my fiancee and I thought it looked great as well and called and made an appointment to view the place. I confirmed the appointment 2 days prior and off we went. Upon arriving on the date of our appointment we found the gates closed to the property, with a sign posted that anyone entering without permission would be considered trespassing!! Nice welcome. Finally after about 20 minutes someone came along on a bicycle and asked us what we were doing. This person directed us to the office, which is quite a distance and out of sight of the main entrance. Upon meeting with the event planner, who according to the web site was very experienced in assisting in planning weddings on the property, we were told that (1) we would not be able to see any of the cabins as they were all rented and (2) we could take ourselves on a tour. So off on the tour we went by ourselves. Finished the tour and went back to her office. Instead of asking us questins or trying to gather information on what type of event we had in mind, she basically just stared at us. Finally asked us to sit down. Then proceeded to tell us that the date she had been holding for us had been taken over by the owners and would not be available. After further discussion about dates, she informed us that if we wanted to have a wedding on the property, we had to rent the entire property not just the cabins we would require. (There is nothing about this on the website). At one point she even said to us "Can't you invite more people"!! It was very apparent through the course of our meeting that this facility was not interested in any kind of small, intimate wedding as their website promotes. If this is the type of event you are looking for, don't waste your time on this place. Our meeting was left that she would run our event by the owners and get back to me. That was two weeks ago and she has not even had the decency to call or e-mail as promised. We were extremely disappointed in our experience with White Pine Camp.

This review is three years old. Currently, White Pine Camp has a new staff. As always, White Pine is committed to providing exceptional service for all guests, including wedding parties. Many weddings have been held on our property over the years and we are proud to give guests a wonderful experience every time. I don't know the circumstances surrounding the review titled "Very Strange", but the employee described in the review is no longer on staff.

White Pine Camp is a dream world you never knew existed. I am about to go there for the sixth time in 4 years and look forward to it like nothing else. You cook your own meals, lounge in the exquisite cabins, canoe or kayak, bowl in the antique bowling alley, stroll the lovely grounds and tour the Adirondacks. Or you can just watch the fire in the fabulous fireplaces. The designers of this place knew what they were doing. Run, don't walk to White Pine Camp, but don't take my precious 7 nights. Worth every penny.
