We were especially impressed that with our 3 PM arrival on bikes, based on our interests, Barbara nonetheless quickly arranged for us to see two interesting local museums, despite the lateness of the hour. My wife liked the Coverlet Museum for the intricate weaving, such as what Barbara does for her guests in a smaller way. I especially enjoyed the 1940's store with original goods, which is a story in itself.
This is not an inexpensive place, but we enjoyed it as the half way mark on our ride from Lockport to Palmyra and back.
I had earlier noticed the review by Joshu and had wondered at the gall of a first time reviewer waiting to report a complaint about the breakfast here after NEVER mentioning it to the hostess. Breakfast there for me involved whole wheat pancakes with sausage as I had requested and it was both good and filling.
A nice common area is the large front porch. That is where we sat with Barbara and Bob in the evening, sipping some of his home made wine.More
