Great Hotel, great location, great service, nice pool. We stayed here because it is just west of Binghamton, NY and that was our goal, but the experience was above what I was expecting and so I wanted to review the hotel. It is a nice Hampton Inn, on the river, so half the rooms have a nice view. Its 1/2 hour from Binghamton, NY in a very cute town called Owego. If you are traveling with a handicapped person, the pool is set up to accommodate you. Extra plus there.

We were scouting out a place to bring a group. Good location for visiting many places in the area. Amanda, the hostess that day was very helpful and friendly. Clean modern rooms. I am only 5' and found it difficult to manage with the high sink set up. Kids would have a problem brushing teeth. The height made it difficult to get near mirror. Breakfast was great - eggs, waffles, toast, bagels, fresh fruit. Will be back. One thing we missed was a refrigerator in the room. Amanda put our ice packs in their refrigerator. In kitchen and we picked up the next morning.

Room Tip: Ask for river view. Other side faces highway

Outstanding reception from check staff. Cheerful and full of good humour. When I mentioned that my wife was celiac, one of the staff came over and directed us to restaurants where she might safely eat nearby. She also came out when we returned, to check that the meal was okay.

Very nice hotel and spacious rooms, ours overlooking the river. Nice, friendly and accommodating staff.
This hotel and staff should get a 'Gold' medal for customer care.

Room Tip: suspect all rooms are nice, ask for river view. But Hotel in quiet location so noice should not be a...

Here's a hidden jewel. It is worth getting off the highway and stopping in this small town to stay at this Hampton Inn. Very nice facilities. Helpful friendly staff. You will not be disappointed. Request a room overlooking the river. I

The room had a large picture window and the hotel is right on the Susquehanna River--beautiful and relaxing view. The room, and the hotel in general, was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. It was quiet. The continental breakfast was very good--better than I've experienced at many hotels. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and helpful. The only reason I did not give this a five star rating is because the room was very humid. The window was fogged up most of the time. Turning on the fan did not help.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are on the river and have a beautiful view.

My daughter and I were doing the "college road trip". This hotel was right along the way. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. They called within 10 minutes of us getting to our room to ask if the room was good and if we needed anything. They then brought a few more towels as per our request. My daughter used the pool and the temperature was good. Our only complaint was that we could hear people walking about in the room above our room and the sound of their shower running was so loud that it woke us in the morning. Breakfast in the morning was abundant and served by a very gracious staff.

Room Tip: Half of the rooms face the river, a nice view

Although this is a nearly new property, my room's shower faucet handle was so loose that it was nearly unusable. The previous guest's soap and shampoo were still in the shower stall. The NBC station on the TV system had no audio. The desk chair in the room could not be adjusted high enough. The room's HVAC controls seemed to have very limited range. The hotel's parking lot on the night that I checked in had not been salted and it was very icy and dangerous to walk on.
