we went to the Bistro on a Thursday nite @ 7pm there was one other party of two seated when we arrived. Even though this is a new place our booth seat was ripped and had stuffing coming out- that kind of surprised us.
They brought us some warm bread and two lovely toppings one was basil butter and one was a kalamata olive tapenade. They were both delish!
we were two and started looking over the menu - i was torn because some of the combinations weren't appealing to me & i have a shellfish allergy - but i figured i would try the Chicken Ala Milanaise, it came with a mixed green salad with a lemon vinagerette with shaved parm on top.
it was ok - i didnt like the breading or that kind of free range chicken wasn't my favorite. (not sure which)
My husband had the tourenados of beef that came with a heavenly reduction and wrapped in bacon - then the garlic mashed and beautiful green beans. (very, very good!)
we did not get dessert as we had to be somewhere. But we asked if on another trip we could try different sides with some of the mains and we were told that would be fine to mix and match. So even though this was not my favorite meal we will go back because husbands was sooo good. We did not drink at this meal- but they had a great selection of beers and wines.
our bill for two was $43 before tip.
