We really enjoyed our stay. Chris was very accommodating and had everything ready for us so we could arrive quickly get ready to attend a wedding. We felt like we were staying with family!
The bed in the Sadie Room was comfortable, and the breakfast was made to order, and delicious!

My wife and I came up to Oneonta for the SUNY at Oneonta College Alumni Weekend and stayed at Kountry Living B & B. Our host Chris welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house and property, and then spent some time talking with me about baseball. Chris is an avid baseball fan and the vestibule on the second floor, is like a small museum of baseball memorabilia.

The house is very neat and nicely decorated. The Sadie room, where we slept, was large, comfortable and had a big HD TV with cable service. The breakfast was excellent. We shared a cheese omelet, and stuffed French toast. My compliments to our chef Tony.

The house is located in the country on the south side of town but is within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants in downtown Oneonta. Per Chris's recommendation, we had dinner at the Red Caboose on Main Street. All I can say is that they didn't have restaurants like this when I went to school here, 40 years ago. All of the food and beverages were locally sourced, and reasonably priced for the level of preparation and presentation.

Finally, the town is beautiful. They've put a lot of time and effort into conserving and restoring the old Victorian era homes and the main street shopping area. Bring your walking shoes and meander through the streets and enjoy the houses and all of the beautiful landscaping.

Thanks to Chris and Tony for making us feel at home in Oneonta!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Sadie room and looked at the Charles Room. Both were large and comfortable, but the...

First, I'd like to recognize Chris, Jerry and Anthony for a great weekend spent at Kountry Living Bed and Breakfast.

We had - quite possibly - the best possible weather for our stay (wknd of May 30, 2014) and an even better stay at this Bed and Breakfast.

Here’s what I look for in a B&B
- Clean
- Comfortable
- Relaxing

We arrived, they knew who we were, helped us bring our things to our room and, exchanged introductions prior to us stepping out to check out the area – including their recommendations on some great places to grab lunch.

We got to hang out by the fire pit, enjoy a small brook/creak, the bunny rabbits…we had all the comforts of home and felt like long time friends of Chris and his team.

Cooperstown is a scenic drive from Kountry Living B&B, Downtown Oneonta is nice with some great places to eat.

All in all a great selection and a strong recommendation for travelers who are in the area.

This is my first Trip Advisor recommendation and I felt compelled to leave feedback here because of the great experience I enjoyed.

Thank you!

Room Tip: I took the Charles b/c it had it's own private bathroom. That was important to me.

We were looking for a bed and breakfast for our second honeymoon in Oneonta and Cooperstown and hit a home run. Located just off Main Street in Oneonta, Kountry Living is a short, scenic drive to Cooperstown. The house is located on a beautiful lot with a running stream and lush greenery. The house is very nicely decorated and our room had a private bath. Chris, our host, was very friendly without being obtrusive. He told us we had full use of the house and grounds and we took full advantage. Finally the breakfasts were outstanding with several choices and freedom to select your meal time. The stuffed French toast is highly recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Charles Suite which was on the first floor and very convenient.

While visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, we wanted to stay at a Bed & Breakfast that was off the beaten track. We found one that was ideal.

Kountry LIving is just a stone's throw from Cooperstown; about 20 miles of scenic driving. The snow-covered mountains and pastoral farmlands were pleasing to the senses. In no time at all, we reached our destination.

Our host, Chris, was waiting for us. His smiling face and friendly demeanor made us feel very welcome as we entered the stately, older home. He wasn't around all the time, but told us to make ourselves at home. Chris has very good taste -- the house was cozy and nicely decorated throughout; kind of a mix of old and new. The reasonable, off-season rate was a plus.

Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and inviting and we had access to a full bathroom. Internet was available, too. Much to our delight, our host has a remarkable collection of Yankee memorabilia, which he graciously showed to us. This was definitely a bonus, as we are all Yankee fans!

We felt right at home and in the morning there was no pressure on us to check out; we were advised to take our time. We enjoyed coffee and conversation as we lounged around in the living room, with the fireplace warming the room. We had a tasty, satisfying breakfast. Also, Chris directed us to an excellent nearby restaurant where we had a gourmet dinner after returning from Cooperstown.

We believe that one of the most important elements of a rewarding B&B experience is a good host. Chris was one of the best we've ever encountered. His cheerful disposition and sincere friendliness made us feel like we were staying at the home of a friend who truly wanted us to be his guests, relax, and have fun.

The Cooperstown/Oneonta area is beautiful...picturesque and peaceful, dotted with quaint little towns that have funky shops and cafes. We really felt removed from our everyday lives and it was a good feeling to get away from it all. We recommend Kountry Living to anyone visiting this lovely part of NY state.

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms and they're all good.

My wife and I stayed for a weekend in December and couldn't have had a better time. Both Chris and John were very hospitable and we couldn't have been more comfortable in our first B&B experience. They were both very knowledgeable of the area as well, telling us about a great BBQ place called 'Brook's BBQ'. They were great company and very knowledgeable of the area. We stayed in the Sadie Room which was clean, comfortable, and had a warm fluffy comforter. The wooded yard behind the B & B was beautiful and my wife and I took a nice walk, it even had a stream running down it. The first morning we were there John made us stuffed french toast which were indescribable and a new favorite of mine. He had no problem having it ready for us at 6am so we could head out early. When we went out not only was the driveway shoveled after the storm but they even took the time to clean off our car. The entire drive home the focus of our conversation seemed to be the B & B, which we couldn't be happier with. We will coming back again, maybe this fall when the leaves are falling.

Staying at Kountryliving was like coming to visit a friend on the east coast who gives you the run of their well-organized house and serves you an amazing breakfast too ! The location is perfect. So, close to downtown Oneonta (which is quaint, but only OK). Oneonta has everything you really need (including restaurants, delis, stores), but it could use a little more nightlife. But, I was told it comes alive when the colleges open. The house is close enough to the freeway to be convenient, but not so close, as to be too loud.

Stayed there for a baseball tournament at All Star Village - 15 min away. Dreams Park is probably 30 min away, but staying in Oneonta is a world away from the very touristy and expensive Cooperstown - which is gorgeous, but is weak on essentials (groceries, movies, regular stuff). The Kountryliving house has a running brook, a fire pit, a great backyard, two entrances for convenience, and a couple of cute bunnies.

The guys are very neat and tidy. Everything is immaculate and they put a ton of work into providing everything from a nicely set dining room, to water bottles, to dining and recreation options, access to a house computer and wifi, to laundry etc....

In addition, due to a flight delay I wasn't able to check in when expected and they were waiting for my arrival, picking up the phone on the first ring, and greeting me like a long lost friend.

Room Tip: I slept in Sadie in a giant ruffly bed. When my son came, he stayed in a nice single daybed. The roo...
