I think it's unfair to compare a Super 8 in a small city to a 5 star hotel in a big city and it seems that many reviewers have done that with this hotel. I have stayed at this Super 8 many times over the years and things are getting better. They had painted the rooms and bathrooms since my last visit and now the hotel has all new mattresses (of a good quality too!) and the owners told me that new furniture was coming soon. The rooms are clean and comfortable, I like having a refrigerator for my use and not one filled with over priced things the hotel wants you to buy. There is a coffee maker and every day the packets we used were replaced. There is also a microwave oven so if you just want to heat something up in your room you can. One day our cards weren't working and the woman at the front desk came up to the room herself to make sure they were working again. The day that the new mattresses were delivered it was all done with a minimum of fuss and even the owners wife was helping to make sure things were done well. When you stay here you support a local business that pays taxes (vs. staying someplace else where they do not pay taxes!)
If I had a complaint it would be that the sheets aren't the right fit for the bed and that frequently they don't stay tucked in.
Had a nice stay here. Large king bed, room also had a fridge and microwave. Towels were a bit small and thin and next time I'd ask for one or two more (there were only 2), but otherwise this was a great value. Breakfast was cold cereals, bagels with cream cheese, toast, juices, coffee, etc. Our main purpose was to go to the Turning Stone Casino, which is 6 miles away and a very, very easy drive back and forth. There are many stores around this hotel, a car wash, shopping, and restaurants--Dunkin Donuts was right next door. We would definitely stay here again.
I was only there for 5 hours to sleep. it was very quiet an
d a great price. I would love coupon for the hot to stay again
