A jackpot hotel located 4 miles from Casino.
It's neat,it's clean, the room is just right, and the price is on target.
The staff is friendly & efficient. The housekeepers did a great job on cleaning the room. (Even folded our clothes neatly on bed when they cleaned the room).
Large King Bed...fridge...microwave...coffee maker...color TV..well heated...hot shower and we got a smoking room (we smoke) that did not even smell of smoke.
It's not the Waldorf folks but it's perfect for the Casino player...you're not moving in there.....you are just laying your stuff down and spending half the night at casino, with a nice warm bed and shower 5 minutes away. Stop complaining about little unimportant things...like.."Oh my God. The Manager didn't smile at me". That's petty stuff. We'll go back there anytime. Even left the housekeeper a nice tip.
Heard a front desk staff talking to the manager on the phone telling him that it was unethical to raise room rates for the weekend just because there were only 3 rooms left...staff has more sense than manager!
Different front desk member was a total waste - we needed new batteries for our TV remote - not a big thing, but he was just so totally ignorant about the whole thing. Didn't care at all.
Same front desk clerk didn't care that a car alarm in the parking lot had been going off during the early AM hours for a LONG time - said there was nothing he could do. Ok, then why do you take our license plate number and make/model of our vehicle when we check in?
Guests were very loud in the hallways - again, nothing anyone can do.
Breakfast is horrible.
Otherwise, for $70/night...what do you expect?
The room was clean, outdated but clean. The bed was comfortable, we had a fridge and microwave. The free continental breakfast was the bare minimal, they had two kinds of cereal, bagels, bread, and prepackaged cinnamon bun looking things. The few times we had to go to the front desk the person was not up front, we had to wait several minutes to be waited on. We called down once for towels, the person at the desk said "you have to come down and get them." I was very very shocked, first and foremost because as the customer, as a paying customer, one of the reasons of staying in a hotel is they bring you the items, you dont go get them yourself. I could see if we were staying there for free, I wouldnt complain but as a paying customer I do not expect to be told "you have to come get them!" Secondly, as a manager of a hotel myself, we never tell guests "you have to come down and get it" no matter what it is. It was very off-putting!
