“Great Italian Food”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

We stopped in on a Friday evening and the restaurant was very crowded. The staff was apologetic and very attentive. We were seated near a window, given drinks, and told that the wait would be about 30 minutes. Someone checked on us every few minutes to make sure we were okay.
When the food did arrive, it was well worth the wait. Nothing fancy, just well-prepared southern Italian food.

“Classy Tapas”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Fun signature drink menu, reasonably priced tapas and an elegant ambiance. Their new location is a little dumpy on the outside, but I think they are working on cleaning it up!

“Not happy with their food but service was ok”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

We decided to go here for a graduation dinner based on the good reviews. They were very nice people and we were impressed with the inside decor of the resturant since it looks like someone's house from the outside. It was a nice intimate setting.

The food: The chicken dinners, were not edible in our opinion. Two of us ordered the same dinner and got a huge portion of a chicken breast that was very pink. We nibbled a tiny piece and did not like the texture and it needed to be cooked more.

We sent it back to the kitchen asking for it to be cooked more. When it came back it was still very pink but had more sauce poured on it. The waiter informed us that it was free ranged chicken so they look pink in color.

We were very scared of getting food poising and did not eat the "raw" chicken. They never removed it from our bill and the manager never came over to discuss it.

They were nice enough to allow us to bring in a graduation cake and they were polite but the food sucked!

The filet mignon did not taste like restaurant quality steak in terms of seasoning. It was very bland. Only 2 people out of our party of 7 enjoyed their meal and they ordered empanadas and a seasoned rice and shrimp dish.

We won't be recommending this place to anyone nor will we ever return again!

“Another great meal near Turning Stone & Oneida, NY”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

Decided on dinner at Zabroso Restaurant for this evening and the place was jamming, very busy however we were lucky to get a table for two with no wait or reservations. Suggest you call ahead, one never knows!

One of the specials was a Corn/I think Bacon soup with Spicy Shrimp $7. and it was delicious, served hot and worth the $7. Nice size bowl and 2 or 3 shrimp... Also had their Papas Bravas - Crispy potato wedges - still yummy and Beef Empanadas both excellent.

Main course (with a nice small salad - make sure you try the weird watermelon radish that is in the salad, both different and good.) for me dinner consisted of their Fire-Roasted Chicken - Marinated in Thyme-Dijon mustard buttermilk, garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, lots of potatoes in a nice shape was very good, for my spouse - Hanger Steak - their signature steak served with chimichurri sauce & Yuca fries cooked to perfection. see pictures.

Overall price with wines & beers $88.00 for 2 with leftovers. Well worth the prices for the quality & portion sizes. Service by Dan was also great.

I would recommend you try Zabroso's when in the local area or even if your not and want to take a short ride - well worth the trip. No room for dessert but they sounded good. PS Wish we could have sat outside!

“Great tapas and creative wine list”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

I stopped in by myself on a business trip, just as they opened late on a Friday afternoon. Sat at the bar and was greeted by the friendly and well-informed young man there. Had a great Tempranillo and a good Albarino - it was good to see a wine list with different choices, heavy on Spanish labels. Tried 3 tapas: really good tostones, that brought me back to Jamaica; a plate of mixed mushrooms in a very nice sherry sauce, not too creamy or overwhelmed by sherry flavor; and shrimp in white wine, garlic, and paprika. The last was nothing spectacular but got extra points for being cooked perfectly, with no sign of the rubbery texture you get so often. Overall, a very good experience, good service, and far beyond the usual fare I've had in this area. I'll be back.
