“Outstanding!!”

I recently stayed at Full Moon Resort for a wedding! I was there for 3 days and it exceeded my expectations!! The grounds, staff, accommodations and food were amazing! I stayed in the main house and had to share a bath, but it was so private it felt like being in my bathroom at home!! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful making sure every guest was well taken care of!!! I will definitely be staying there again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to that area!!

Customer service from warm, helpful staff was excellent.
Food was fantastic, better than any wedding food I have had.
All my wedding guests were very satisfied and loved the place, there was lots of hiking and relaxing to do.
My only criticism is that during the planning process, they want to charge extra fees for little things, however they were open to negotiation.

My wife and I got married in November of 2013 at Full Moon and couldn't be happier. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with, they really go above and beyond to make sure the entire weekend is as good as it possibly can be. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the atmosphere and staff as well. We also used vendors from the Full Moon suggested lists and yet again we were blown away by the recommended people. Officiant: Naomi Faye, DJ: Dave from JTD productions, Richard from Wildflowers floral store in Margaretsville, and Proline Productions Photography. The wedding planner Leigh Anne from Full Moon was awesome and our bartender Chris were some of the most hardworking and dedicated people we could have asked for. The food was absolutely perfect as well.

With that being said, this place is great for a rustic and socially binding event. The biggest complaints seem to be from people who can't let their cell phone go for more than a few hours and people who expect luxurious accommodations. If you are looking for a place to get everyone together without the constant chirp of texts and calls then be prepared to be blown away.

This is the third year that we have held our healing retreats at Fullmoon. We go back each year for the natural beauty, great food and caring service. The staff responds to our needs at every moment which is so important for the success of the workshop.
Kindness, beauty and the magic of the mountains. We love it.

It would be hard to put into words how grateful we are to have gotten married at this magical location. When I say magical, I really mean it-there was definitely magic in the air!! From beginning planning stages to the event day, staff at Full Moon was top notch. We had a lot of individual needs at our wedding and Full Moon never said no, helping us to create the weekend that we imagined. From Paul's friendly and honest chats, to Henry's assistance in creating something unique and helping us secure the best music ever, and Leighann's countless hours planning with us, helping us relax, and taking care of every one of our needs the day of our wedding day, we really couldn't have been happier. Leighann even drove to a hiking trail to deal with a family issue and delivered lunch to our family when they missed the meal! We actually really miss the staff at Full Moon as they felt like a family to us.

The food-was fantastic!! We live in NYC and have really high food expectations (we have lots of friends in the food industry and have a family-owned food business) and they were all met. Veggie, vegan, gluten-free, and meat dishes were all amazing as well as the yummy desserts. Chef Adam was really open to our ideas and even suggested a dish that wasn't part of our tasting, which turned out delicious. We got so many comments from our guests about how fantastic the meals were. The staff even put a plate of each dish in our room for late night snacking!

The check in (Valley View House), rehearsal dinner (barn), and reception facilities (tent) were quite nice. All were extremely clean, charming, cozy, and classy. You really feel taken care of when you are in these spaces. Initially we didn't feel great about using the tent as our reception space, but it actually worked out perfectly. It fit all of our guests pretty comfortably, but also had a intimate feel to it. We had an after party each night at the performance space, which might be my new favorite place on earth!

The accommodations were clean and charming, but definitely not for everyone. If you and your guests are looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you. The onsite accommodations consist of a variety of houses and cottages. They are cozy and extremely well-kept, but many of the buildings themselves are a bit old. They were perfect for what we wanted, but don't have the glamour that some people want for their wedding.

Overall, this is a really special place to get married Some guests told us that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. We feel so grateful to have found something that really matched our dreams. If you are looking for a wedding venue that has a rustic yet classy feel, unbelievable nature (we took our community on one of the most well known hikes in the Catskills which is just 5 minutes away), amazing food, and just an incredible staff, then this is the place for you. We are not usually trip advisor reviewers, but just had a spread the word about such an amazing place. Thank you Full Moon, for helping us to experience the best weekend of our lives!

We had a Sunday evening wedding at Full Moon in July and people are still talking about what a fabulous time they had. At first we thought they were just being polite, but after attending other weddings in the past few months we've realized they are not just being nice!

We live in Los Angeles but decided to get married in New York as that's where I'm from. Even though I grew up in the Woodstock area I was not familiar with Full Moon. I sent my parents there to scope it out a year in advance and Michael and his team gave them the tour and even fed them. We visited a few months later and Melanie was able to arrange a tasting for us which was key since it would be the only time we were back in NY before our actual wedding. Chef Adam and his team really understood what we were going for and we left feeling even more convinced that we made the right choice in Full Moon. Michael and his team exceeded our expectations and were nothing but professional. It's obvious they do this for a living; the place runs like a well-oiled machine. This is a huge reassurance to a couple planning a wedding from 3,000 miles away.

If you want to get away from it all and get married in the 'magical forest' without having to stress about every little detail then Full Moon is for you. Yes, there is no A/C, some shared hallway bathrooms and little to no cell phone service (divas beware). The no cell phone thing was a plus for my husband and I since we really wanted to get away from all the every-day distractions of modern life and make our wedding a day where everyone was focused on what they were there for...having the best time ever!

The only criticism/suggestion I would make would be that they consider investing in some type of online reservation booking system.

Ashley handles the reservations and was always very nice. Because we had to guarantee to book a certain number of rooms, we were on top of our guests to follow-up and book their rooms. We heard back from a number of guests that they were not able to get through to the right person when they called or that they were playing phone tag. Having an online system would have made this process a lot smoother.

All in all it was a wonderful experience that we will remember forever. Our photos tell the story of how beautiful this place is, and how much fun our guests had at the reception. For me, one of the most special moments came right before the ceremony as I was about to walk down the path that led to the ceremony with my dad. We saw a momma deer and her 2 babies right on the edge of the woods. It was a reminder of the true beauty of nature and it will stay with me forever. Thank you Full Moon!!!

It's difficult to put into words what a joyful and beautiful experience we had through all stages of planning and having the wedding.

When we first got a tour of Full Moon, we thought: "We are so thankful this place exists." It's raw natural beauty with high end service, incredible food, and staff that felt like family made us want to share the most intimate moment of our lives with our family and friends at Full Moon.

Even though Full Moon does many weddings each year, we felt very well cared for and had close relationships with our wedding coordinator, LeighAnn, and Michael one of the co-owners. We felt like we were working with friends and family but got the benefit of their extensive experience and deep understanding of wedding planning.

Our guests loved Full Moon! Each of them had a really special experience and they felt like they had a vacation in the woods coupled with a beautiful wedding celebration. There are tons of hikes around Full Moon and it's very accessible to Woodstock and Phoenicia which gave everyone lots to do.

All the vendors that Full Moon recommended were high quality and perfect for what we were looking for. They really know the area and the options around the Catskills and provide good advice at every turn.

We can't recommend Full Moon highly enough.
