Haven't been here in years, but the food was still good and the character of the place is great! Do order the sweet potato French fries with your meal. Wish they had the chocolate raspberry ice cream!

Nice stop in Nyack for dessert, and offers inside seating-with waitress service in addition to take out. Nice change from traditional run of the mill ice cream places.

Went here recently and could not believe, though, how expensive they were. Once scoop -regular sized at best-was almost $4! Very overpriced, and ice cream like Ben & Jerrys and Haageb Dazs are better, and i believe their pricing may be better.

Also, for first time ever I bought a cupcake, a brownie cupcake. It seemed like it was in the refrigerator all day! Way too cold to the point that it had lost its flavor in exchange for freezer/fridge taste.

If you go, have the ice cream, but be prepared to pay.

This has been a local favorite for several generations. Ice cream, frozen yogurt, sundaes, shakes, candy, desserts, and a nice choice of lunch foods, too. They've got good wraps & salads...all very fresh & tasty. The only thing keeping them from a "5" is that on weekends, especially in the Summer, they don't have enough counter & serving help. The wait for service can be frustrating & the entire place gets a bit "sticky". Lotsa locals, including teens find it a good, safe, centrally located hangout in Nyack.

My husband brought me to Piermont and Nyack (from NJ) on one of our first dates, and we've been returning to Temptations Cafe ever since. You will miss some amazing food if you don't go past the ice cream and dessert counters to get to the cafe area in the back. The menu is very creative for a small place and offers options to satisfy most tastes. Tonight we shared a coconut shrimp (over mango salad) appetizer and an amazing "burger" made from a combination of fresh tuna, salmon and crab, served with perfect sweet potato fries. So good!. It was a tough choice between that and an entree of duck breast with cranberry orange waffles (a riff on the chicken and waffle craze); not your usual casual cafe fare! Our friends tried one of the 3 homemade soups and each chose a different burger, which they enjoyed. This place does occasionally miss the mark, but a gentle comment sends the wait staff scurrying to make sure you have something you enjoy. And DO save room for dessert here; it's worth the calories!

Temptations Cafe lives up to it's name, serving delicious ice cream and ice cream treats, pastries and desserts, as well as other things. I know they're there, but honestly, I've never tried them.

This place starts with dessert. The ice cream and bakery counters are up front by the door, and the candy counter is on the opposite wall. The sweets and delights that greet you here are just too compelling to explore any further.

Try the wide variety of ice cream flavors. Some are not obvious, but they're universally delicious. The pastries, cakes and cookies are not to be missed. If you want to take a trip back in time, order one of their honest-to-goodness NYC Egg Creams -- a rare treat these days... so simple and so darned delicious.

Long story short, leave the guilt trips and the diet behind. Allow yourself to enjoy the sugar rush for a moment -- you can be good tomorrow. With so many wonderfully decadent and delicious choices, Temptations Cafe makes it so good being bad!
