Lanterna is my home-away from home while traveling to the area on business. You will get special seasonal things here like the sweet luscious Burrata cheese with supreme quality prosciutto di Parma. Imported from Italy of course. Even the table olive oil is really good.
On the main menu, basics such as polenta are expertly prepared and elevated to a new level. Pastas are among the best I've had and my dining buddy reports the same for their gluten free option.
Service at Lanterna has always been outstanding. Our waiters Freddy and John were attentive, professional and remembered what we had the last time. Chef/owner extradordinaire, Rossano, always stops by to say hello, explain special items, or avise on wine pairings. A real gentleman. My favorite part of the meal is dessert - with a beautiful chamomile infused spirit to cleanse the palate. I just wished we had our office party here.
