“Mmmmm...goodS”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2012

Stopped in on my way to the Thruway-heading home- for a little a treat. Cute shop, friendly service-wish I could've stayed longer. Baked goods were fresh and yummy. Coffee was good. Big cookies were a treat. I'll stop there next time I get out that way !

“great way to start the day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

while staying at friend's cabin outside of northville, we found this great little coffee shop. not only is the coffee great, but the bakery items are fresh and delicious. i love the scones, but get there early cause they might be sold out! there's also a nice selection of teas, if coffee is not your cup of tea (ha ha). and the best part of java john's is the owner (john?), who is most friendly and entertaining. every trip to northville now includes a stop at java john's.

“Hidden gem in an old lake resort town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

We went to Java John's on the first day it opened in 2010 and managed to go every day during our 3 week stay in Northville. The smell of freshly ground coffee and baked goods lured even the formerly devoted Stewarts coffee fans into this tiny haven. The friendly service and sometimes hourlong conversations with John made what could be an inner-city coffee shop into a smalltown Mecca. The choices of baked goods grew each day and so did my waistline. But only the memories remain.

“The Friendliest Coffee Shop in the Adirondacks”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

Scrumptious home-made baked goods, delicious coffee and refreshing ice tea are what keep us coming back. John is always very friendly and outgoing. He even made us black and white cookies just because we asked for them. And they are soooo good! Don't miss this Adirondack treasure.
