I've frequented this place many times over the years during the summer and we used to take our boat here as it has plenty of public dock spaces available along the canal. It's a great location to sit and have a few drinks and look out at the water. A great place to hang out if you have a boat or if you just want to be close to the water on a hot day. The food is just average and what I would term "bar food" for the most part. They do serve steamed clams which are usually good although the last ones I had there were a little sandy. This place definitely has a nautical theme going on with the anchors etc. and fits in nicely with the waterfront. They have a large selection of sandwich's named after boats but don't expect to be blown away by the flavor. I had the "stingray" last time and although it was on the greasy side it wasn't terrible. The service depends on how busy it is there but is usually slow, which isn't such a bad thing unless you're in a rush. The servers themselves are typically pretty friendly and helpful. Overall this is a good place to hang out and enjoy the whole "canal" scene, have a few drinks and maybe a bit to eat if you're not too fussy about getting real quality food. I will go back here as I have done over the years but it's not for the food, just for the water atmosphere.

Had a sandwich there once and wasn't really impressed. But it's a great place to hang outside on a warm sunny day right on the Erie Canal and have a snack and a pitcher of beer. Thought the service was real good as are the prices. Just think there are better places for food nearby.

I have eaten here many times since it opened. The menu has changed for the better. There are still many of my favorites. I am impressed that so many changes have occurred.

Thank Henry D
