“Delightful and Delectable!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2009

Our three-day stay was perfect. The service, breakfast, and hospitality of Cedarwood B&B exceeded our expectations. The room -- Artist's Retreat -- was creatively decorated yet uncluttered, spacious (had a seating area), and the bed was so comfortable. The well-stocked private bath was amazing with a tub and shower like no other. Sharalee and Louis were friendly and welcoming and had great suggestions for things to do and places to visit nearby. Breakfasts were culinary marvels, served with care and flare. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again.

We have stayed at Cedarwood twice and it is one of our favorite B&B's. Sharalee and Louis are perfect hosts - friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. The rooms are nicely decorated, with comfortable beds. Breakfast is delicious, and afternoon tea is provided, with wonderful baked goods, such as the best apple pie I have ever had. Evenings by the fire in the sitting room are so peaceful and relaxing after a day of skiing. Cedarwood is 1/2 mile down a little dirt road, so it is very private and quiet. The stars at night are amazing. We love this place, and we'll definitely be back again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Cedarwood for the second time and agreed that it truly represents what a B & B should be. It has cozy, authentic atmosphere, it is off the beaten path with nature available just out the door, there is plenty of reading material (especially resources for the local area), the rooms have the comforts of home with none of the interruptions and the owners are accessible, friendly and serving thoughtfully prepared, generous breakfast and afternoon snacks. All of this make the price an exceptional value.

This B&B is really away from it all. You have to drive over an unpaved (yet very even) road to get there. The house has a nice atmosphere and the owners are very nice and helpful. The best thing though is the breakfast. I don't want to spoil the surprise, so I will only tell you to prepare yourself for multiple courses, all very original and fresh. I have been to quite a lot B&B's and this breakfast tops them all.

What a wonderful, warm place to stay. The owners are always attentive and smiling. In the winter, there's a cozy fire and lots of good food.

The rooms are really fun - each has a theme, a history and lots of good stuff to read about in each room. It is very clean, comfortable and friendly. I give it a really plus rating.

We have stayed at Cedarwood over the past 4 years. Each time is as good as the last. In the morning Saralee prepares a gourmet breakfast that involves baking, unusual pastries and just wonderful food. You will not go away hunger. In fact, we bring small storage trays to keep our food in the refrigerator in the common serving area that Cedarwood provides. The High Peaks view is just out the door and the cross country skiing at Garnet Hill is just the thing to work off the breakfast.

The rooms are comfortable and functional. Decorated with a theme, each room has a great personality but is not overdecorated (I hate to have to move things to prevent me from breaking them). Downstairs the breakfast room holds treats and tea in the afternoon. The parlor is great for watching the fire in the evening after a long day of skiing.

Enjoy yourself, your stay will be great.

Wonderful place to stay! Sharalee & Louis are great hosts. The gourmet breakfast and afternoon tea & snack are out of this world. We have stayed here with friends for the past 4 years as the start to a 2 week cross country ski vacation and plan to return for many more years. Now with the addtion of 2 additional rooms, we hope in the future as a trip leaders for the Wilmington Trail Club of Wilmington, DE to offer this as a XC ski destination.
