“Nice resort!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

Stayed here for a week in September, first impressions very good, room was spacious and clean, room 111, double room, bathroom and outdoor patio, only issue with this room was that the bed was extremely firm, woke in the morning with a stiff back. Hotel is 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Fira town which was nice after a large meal, also close to Santo winery, roughly 30 minute walk, good for sunset views and wine tasting. Staff at hotel were helpful and friendly, the Albanian guy, don't remember his name is a great asset to the hotel. Pool is nice, quiet most of the time, breakfast is basic but I never went hungry, comprised of tea, coffee, juice, tomatoes, cheese, fruit, cereal, bread, cake and yogurt. I would recommend this hotel, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had a car for the week but you could use the bus service which seemed easy to use. If you have a car I would highly recommend a visit to Metaxi Mas restaurant, real greek food.

The hotel is in fantastic location, just 5 minutes walking to Fira. Very close to a supermarket, restaurants, bars and shops. The rooms clean and quiet. The breakfast was good enough for the start of the day. Staff friendly and ready to help you with any problem; Even providing you good tips on places to eat, to see and what to do on the island.

Arrived at this hotel, having specifically booked a twin room, to be told that 'Santorini' did not do twin rooms! Only double rooms available on the island and at this hotel was what I was told... I must have looked like this was my first time away from home...

This wasn't a great start when I didn't plan on sharing a bed and despite a bad intial meeting with the owner, who didn't have a great attitude - things worked out ok - he gave us two rooms for the first night and we checked out a day early - despite having pre-paid for 3 nights. I would have prefered to have moved to a more suitable hotel.

The owner ended up being decent enough and paid for any tea/coffee/fanta we had at the pool. - it didnt quite cover the expense but it was a gesture.

The place is spotless for sure and the courtyard areas are very cute. If you are after a double room away from the charm of Fira - it would suit your purpose and the rooms are a nice size.

It is important to note that the hotel is located a bit away from things - on the road into Fira so it lacks atmosphere - but you could stroll to the town in 10 minutes or so.

The staff were very pleasant and the pool area was nice and at the back of hotel so away from the main road. Breakfast was included and it was perfectly adequate.

Although we had read mixed reviews about this hotel before we arrived, we had no complaints at all and were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The room was spacious (double plus ensuite and balcony) but basic (bathroom, tv, air con, coffee / tea facilities) - but as we were out exploring all week there wasn't much else we needed. The main guy and his two colleagues were really friendly and polite - perfect English and gave us loads of inside information on getting around (local buses are the way forward and so cheap!) and things to do. Breakfast was fresh and filling - the dining room is right by the pool both indoor and out. The pool itself was very clean. In terms of location, the hotel is literally 5 minutes walk from the main square in Fira. Would be very happy to stay there again!

PS If you book via Expedia, just remind them that the hotel will offer you a free transfer from the airport as we had differing opinions from Expedia staff.

Modern rooms, nice environment, really comfortable bed, definetely clean with freshness all over the place.you feel it as you enter the room, great stuff, the owner is very friendly and helpful. He offered us a transfer with his car when we needed it! Excellent view (caldera is exactly opposite). The location is ok,close to the center(not exactly in the busy road) but you do find parking. Transfer from the port was also provided even though a missunderstanding occured regarding this. Its disadvantages are :the breakfast is really poor.It is fresh but it offers only the basic.the lack of fresh fruits is worthmentioned. (On The other hand the chocolate cruissants can be noticed as the most tasty part of the breakfast!).Another disadnantage is the lack of bath essentials like ear buds. Despite these minor Disadvantages i highly recomment it ...i'll definetelychoose it again for my next staying on the island

We stayed for two Nights at the beginning of july. My first inital reaction wasn't great as the hotel is right of a very busy main road about 10 mins walk from the actual busy caldera view centre of thiera. However I leant to love the hotel as the service was outstanding, the rooms and pool super clean, the pricing totally fair. Also, as we hired a car the location turned out to be a plus as parking was super easy (rather than having to park miles away from the hotel or in small one way side streets). Everything is super easy to access from the hotel by car. Would defo come back.
