“Best experience possible!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2011

We went to Santorini to begin our honeymoon in the second week of July, and although we booked in April, Nonis did not have a room available for the entire five nights, but after speaking to the very lovely Jessica, she arranged for us to switch rooms halfway during our stay so that we could still stay at Nonis Apartments. I'm so glad we went with this option rather than choosing a different hotel! It was simply perfect, with a small but sufficient swimming pool overlooking the caldera and the surrounding islands. The staff (Fanis, Boris and Jessica) were superb and always willing to have a friendly chat or offer some advice on where to go on the island. They were constantly offering Frappes to us on the house, and Fanis gave us a bottle of his own wine which was very generous. We never wanted to leave the hotel except to eat at the delicious Ellis restaurant around the corner which we did most nights. Boris was kind enough to recommend and arrange a sailing tour of the islands for us which was spectacular and well worth leaving the comfort of the pool for!
All in all, nothing was ever going to beat the experience we had at Nonis Apartments. All transfers were arranged and complimentary, switching rooms was seamless and taken care of while we were at lunch, and we left feeling as though we were one of the family. We will definitely be recommending Nonis to everyone, and hopefully we can come back at some time in the future! Thank you!

Room Tip: All rooms are great with private terraces. Honeymoon Suite was a little more private on the top floo...

When Boris met us at the airport to transfer us to Nonis Apartments we thought we were on a good thing. From there it only got better. When he took us to our room and showed us the view from our balcony we knew that this was going to be a special holiday. The personal service offered by Fanes and Boris was exceptional. Boris' frappes and Fanes' homemade vinsanto were regularly offered as complimentary treats. They were warm and friendly hosts who could not have been more helpful. Nonis is well located to Fira but sufficiently removed to be a peaceful haven. This was an excellent value for money holiday to remember.

Boris picked us up from the airport - very friendly and checked us into the two room apartment for 3 people. Room size was good, air con in main bedroom but not in lounge and small kitchenette for tea & coffee. Each evening was spent watching the sun set over the caldera - magical! Helped us hire a jeep for the day that was delivered and picked up from Nonis saving the hassle of booking in town. Would highly recommend great value for money and great location very close to central FIRA. Also fab restaurat Ellis - just around the corner.

The view from the hotel was fantastic. I was happy to see that there was a small pool in the common area instead of a small Jucuzzi saw from its HP. We had a good time swimming and sipping coffee above the breath-taking view of the caldera. The hotel staff came to the airport to pick us up as promised. They were nice and helpful and always asked if we needed something to drink.

The room was just adequate and should be better for the room rate of 130 Euros a night. We didn't have any trouble with hot water nor air-conditioning during our stay though. We spent 1 night in a double room without view and this was not a problem to us since we barery stay in our room and could share the same terrace with the room with a view. The location is not far but not right in the heart of Fira town(5-10 minutes walk). However, it is pretty close to the bus station going to everywhere in the island.

Simply can't be beat for caldera views, location and it is clean and comfortable. Faris, the owner, and his staff, go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. You may even get to test some of Faris' homemade wine! This is not a luxury property, so if that's what you want, stay at a pricier place. But, if you are all about the view, and the sunset, and a very short walk to everything you need/want, this is the place. Very close is the main street where you can arrange for caldera tours (a must!), catch the bus to Oia (another must) or to the beaches, shop, eat, etc. Also while in Santorini, if you at all into wine, take the Santorini Wine Roads Tour --it's pricey but worth it!

Mr. Fanis was wonderful - picked us up at the airport and took us to our accomodations. Jessica walked us through all the details of what to see and where to eat - very friendly. Our accommodations were excellent -- no, outstanding!! My grand daughters really enjoyed our stay here. On our last day Mr. Fanis stopped by to asked us how we enjoyed our stay - what a class act.

We stayed at Nonis apartments based on the reviews on trip adviser and the price. We were not dissapointed.
Whilst our room was comfy and spacious we spent the majority of our time on the various terraces of the accommodation taking in the magnificent views of the caldara.
Fanes and his staff were so friendly and were more then happy to help with tourist infomation on the island. He also gave us a bottle of his wine as we sat on the terrace to watch the sunset. He is certainly a fantastic host and made our stay that much better.
The location is also great, close to the main centre of Fira, a supermarket and many eating options.
When we initially arrived we noticed the jacuzzi on the terrace was not in use and a little dirty. We mentioned this to a staff member and to our pleasant surprise it was all cleaned and powered up hot for us to use that evening. Little things like this made for a fantastic stay at Nonis apartments.
