“What a treat!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Saw this place last year and decided to stay here with my daughter this year, which was a very good decision. It is a family inn with a very special treatment from the management. They really make you feel at home and help you in every single way to make your stay in Fira a memorable stay. Their chauffeur, Yannis, took us for a trip to the highest point of Thira and then to a wine test at Santo Wine, totally unforgettable, with the sun setting into the sea with the view from the terrace and a little tipsy from the excellent local wines. The inn is located in a very quite area so close to the centre and all public communications. The place has a roof terrace, with sea view, apart from small balconies from every room. Although you have the possibility to make your tea and coffee in your room, they always offer free juice, coffee and tea with homemade cake in the reception. A lovely second home.

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor are nicer at night. You can not hear other guests coming home.

My friend and I stayed here last minute on our somewhat impromptu visit to Fira as a stop over to other islands. The value was great-- 45 Euro for a three person room. We were greeted with free glasses of wine. They picked us up at the airport for FREE and dropped us off at the port for FREE and helped us book a lovely volcano/hot spring trip that perfectly fit our time frame for departure.

This is NOT a view hotel, but for 45 Euro a night in Fira, it is a really good deal. It is totally walkable (about 3 min) from the town center. The hotel directed us to a fantastic view-side restaurant. If your purpose is to come to Fira on a budget, and get a great deal, this is your place. Rooms were clean, ours was quiet (on the lower floor), very simple.

Good communication leading to our stay. Complimentary collection from the port and delivery right to the Hotel lobby. Just let George know before hand your arrival time. Free cake and coffee on arrival too. I think George's motto is you can never have enough cake. The place is cool and clean and has a perfect Mediterranean feel about it. There is a roof top seating area where we sat and ate our morning cake and coffee, and we had use of the amazing courtyard pool. Bathroom is a tad small and the floor will get wet after a shower but we just rolled with it , to small of an issue for us small folk but if you are a bit on the larger side you maybe uncomfortable. We had good wifi from our room and we even borrowed a laptop for a short time. Sad to leave and we wish we had planned to stay longer. I will be recommending this place to my friends and family as well.

Sitting in the lobby right now waiting for our free transfer to the airport and our lovely host just brought us a tray with cake, coffee and juice. Last night I was sitting on the patio outside our room and he brought two glasses of Santorini wine. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he has been so friendly and super helpful since we checked in. So the property doesn't have caldera views, being down on the main road, but its clean, comfortable and great value for money. Can definitely recommend.

This place is perfect! Great location just a few meters away from the Main Street and the caldera. Great service, we were picked up at the new port, taken to the hotel and then Giorgio gave us a lot of advice on what to do on the island. When we got back to tr hotel at night he offered us a welcome drink (white wine!) and in the morning he made sure we had enough of his mum's cake!! With lots...and lots of orange juice haha..... It was great...we were even taken back to the port for free!!!! Amazing!!! Stay here!

This private home is very near to Fira town center, the main bus station is a few minutes walkaway, easy access to everything - banks, restaurants, car/bike hire, tour operators, etc.
I cannot speak highly enough of Giorgio and his staff. They were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. George picked me up from the airport and dropped me off, offered free homemade breakfast cakes in the morning as well as coffee, tea, and juice, and great advice. One afternoon, he even gave me a lift to Pyrgos, on his way to the port to pick some guests !
The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, air conditioned, beautiful with a private balcony..A small kitchen is available downstairs There is a rooftop deck where you can enjoy your breakfast, drinks, or the view. George made sure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. He can help with tours, rent a car, or restaurant advice. George is a great host and he truly made my stay at Santorini an unforgettable trip. There were a good choice of movies from the library to play/watch with your own DVD player in your room, I would not hesitate to stay there again. I enjoyed San Giorgio villas primarily because of its great owner, location and amenities. It has everything for a hotel. The service was great and very warm. I'll highly recommend this villa to travelers on a budget.

Room Tip: The 1st floor may be suited if you need a quieter room...

This is the good place to have a NICE and AFFORDABLE room and good tips from George (the owner) to visit the island. You will have good address for the best restaurants!
Breakfast is nice and included (home made cake by George's mother).
He will pick you up from the ferry or the AirPort (for FREE) and drive you back... For FREE AGAIN!
Do not hesitate to book a room!!! :-)
