Apiron provides the backdrop for a special Santorini evening of fine dining, with a stunning view of the caldera. We requested a 7:30 dinner reservation and was advised that they would only accept a 7:00pm booking and we would need to complete our dinner by 9:00pm. We arrived at 7:00 and had the restaurant to ourselves until the next guests arrived at 8:00, we were advised that we could keep the table past 9:00 if we wished.
We began our dinner with their signature eggplant dip, which was made table side. Eggplant was smokey with great flavored. We also ordered the calamari with beet chips. The calamari was nicely cooked though not as finely seasoned as the eggplant. For mains we had the sea bass and swordfish. The swordfish was tasty though a bit over done, and to my palate tasted as though it was previously frozen. The sea bass was the better of the two mains in a cream sauce.
Service was friendly and attentive without being over bearing.
Overall enjoyable though except for the eggplant the food was good but not special. Great atmosphere!
