“All that you could wish for!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We have just returned from 7 nights at the Asteras Villas, Astrophelia Suite, Santorini. This was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and to compensate for the honeymoon we never had. We were welcomed by the lovely Anna and shown to our suite. It was spotless, spacious, beautiful, stylish and idyllic. The view from the balcony was, in our opinion, one of the best you could hope for.

The champagne breakfast served each morning by George was superb. George is truly an invaluable asset to any business; he is constantly on the go, efficient, quietly going about his duties and one of the most hardworking people we have ever met.

The candle lit dinner on our last evening was lovely.

Each evening, we sat on our balcony and watched the most amazing sunsets directly in front of us, and to each side the buildings light up Santorini.

Yes, there are a lot of steps to climb each day from the villa, but what can you expect from Santorini. Unfortunately, the balcony is not entirely private as it is access for the two villas below and for the staff but you soon overcome this.

Would we go again?....like a shot! Would we opt for any other suite? No, we would still wish to occupy the Astrophelia suite due to its size!

thank you Asteras Villa for a truly wonderful, unforgettable holiday!

Our third visit to Santorini with some friends. We wanted to stay on the caldera and have the view to ourselves. Asteras Villas was a great choice. Friendly and helpful staff Anna and George, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable air-conditioned room and private verandah with jacuzzi was very nice. Breakfast served on verandah while you looked at the activities on the water.. Verandah gets a little hot late afternoon. Magical sunsets. Central location. Lots of steps that are good exercise. Highly recommended.

Me and my wife stayed in the La Luna suite for 6 nights for our honeymoon in August. I would definitely recommend La Luna. Everything from being picked up at the airport to breakfast, the cellphone we were given, the safety, Anna and George, the hot tub, the view, the candlelit satin bedsheets rose petal reception, the massage and the candlelight dinner was marvelous. This was a memorable stay for us. Thanks to Anna and George. I also recommend going for their honeymoon packages. They're worth it. They rented us a car for 2 days. It was a small car but comfy and it helped us go around the island and see Oia and Kamari. Can't wait till we go there again.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel in August 2013. Asteras Villas was the first stop on our honeymoon trip - we stayed for six nights.

There are surely many nice hotels on the island; however, there is only one team of Anna and George. These two persons made the stay most memorable, and I cannot say enough about them. They always gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Anna more or less arranged everything for us - she booked all of our excursions, boat tours and quad rentals. They provide a cell phone for you, so if there were any issues while on an excursion, Anna is always available. On top of that, she has been the friendliest and most outgoing person we have spoken with; it was enjoyable just to sit and have a chat.

Breakfast every morning was always plentiful and delicious, served right on your personal, private balcony - with the best views of the caldera in all of Fira town.

The rooms are well appointed. We stayed in two suites, Venus and Galatea, with Venus being the superior of the two. The beds were a very good size; however, the bed in Venus was a bit too soft for a latex mattress. The hot tubs are a good size for two people. We found the water to be a bit too cool to use the hot tubs after sundown with the sea breeze.

There is good privacy in both suites, but it is always possible that someone can see into your balcony sitting area while walking past - as it is one walkway that connects all of the suites from top to bottom. However, given that there are only five suites in the entire property, this is not really a concern. And, of course, you are staying on the side of the cliff - expect steps, which you really don't mind after a while (after all, George lifts all the bags when you check in and out!)

The internet connection in the room was steady and very fast.

The only real negative to the hotel is the lack of curtain in the bathroom. At night, when the light is on, one can see directly into the bathroom from the outside. So, at night, we showered with the light off. (It's not a problem during the daytime.)

Overall, this hotel is highly recommended, and we would definitely return for a future visit to Fira.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2013 - two nights in Venus Suite and one night in Astrophelia suite

Hotel - It is a luxury boutique hotel located right in the middle of Fira (the capital of Santorini). Th hotel does not provide complimentary transfers but can arrange at a cost. If you choose to save money you can also take the bus which has a stop near the hotel. George and kind enough to carry our baggage to the hotel and then to the room from the drop-off location. He really is a one man army taking care of most of things that the hotel offers.

Breakfast was a la-carte with a lovely bottle of bubbly and amazing views. The views are extraordinary and one of the best Sanatorini has to offer including the most applauded sunset.

The hotel has only 5 suites and no room service which I found was a missing thing for a luxury hotel. Service was excellent and George was there to answer everything.

Venus Suite - Though not very big it is more private than the Astrophelia suite we also stayed in. Jacuzzi was big and though not completely private (as people from the neighboring building would look at us as they were higher), am not complaining as I guess that's the most privacy you can get in Santorini where everything is built at levels on the hill.

The room had all modern amenities and a wonderful wonderful bed and pillows where you could just sleep and sleep. The washroom also has glass windows making sure you don't miss on the view at any point in time.

Astrophelia suite - If you can, I would take this suite for all possible days, It is huge (like 700 feet) and each corner is luxuriously and tastefully decorated. I mean when you step in you don't wanna step out and just take photographs of your room. You really have to see it to believe it.

The jacuzzi and the verandah was not really private as guests were passing by (it is a common pass by area) but apart from that the room was just perfect.

Overall if you wanna splurge and enjoy the famous Santorini sunsets from your private Jacuzzi sipping Champagne, while the crowd finds a place on the street above for the same, go for it...

We stayed 3 nights in July at Asteras Villas and could not have been happier with our choice. The location is perfect. Walking distance to many restaurant and shops, or enjoy the solitude of your balcony with views of the volcano and Aegean Sea. The service was amazing. Anna and George could not have been more helpful. They went above and beyond to help us with all our travel needs and recommendations. Thank you Anna and George for making our trip memorable!

We stayed here for the first 6 nights of our honeymoon 8th July till 14th July. We said in the Venus suite and were upgraded to the astrophilia suite on the last night. Both beautiful. We preferred the Venus suite which is much smaller but far more private. The astrophilia suite has the walk way right through it and people were walking on the private terrace all day. It is the main service walk way for all staff and hotel guests in the suits below. George cooked us breakfast every morning. It was fantastic. The French toast is a must.

This hotel is right in fire town, you cannot get a better location. The stairs are a pain but you have them no matter where u go.

Anna was so helpful and walked with us and waited till we got on our transfer to the port when we were leaving. We are really missing the place. We are in mykonos now and are having total asteras villas separation anxiety. This place is worth every penny!!!! You may stay here!

Air con fantastic
Spa amazing
View out of this world
Location is the best location in all of fira town.

The only negative was that the was no full length mirror which I found hard to cope without. The mirrors in the bath room are very high and only show waist/chest up. The bathroom window next to the spa in the astrophilia suite worked as a decent full length mirror. They did have those lose up mirrors installed in both rooms I stayed in which made makeup so easy. I am getting one when I get home.

Room Tip: The Luna suite was right at the top, the Venus suite is the next one down followed by the astrophili...
