Oh, this was our favorite hotel we stayed in on Santorini. We stayed in the Galatea Suite. The view from the balcony was great and it was so nice to relax in your private tub outside and watch the sun set. The staff is great and the receptionist, Anna, was VERY helpful with making sure were got to the ferry port in the morning. I think the price was well worth it. Breakfast is served on your private balcony at the hour you choose, iPod docking station, laptop for use, welcome wine. Of course you are on a cliff, so you just must be warned, there are quite the number of stairs. (We're in our 20's so we didn't care, but it was something I could definitely see my parents get a little tired from if they stayed in our room. But then again, you ARE on a cliff.)

Anyway, I think this would be enjoyed more by couples, the colors and view at night can be quite romantic. It was a little piece of heaven on the cliff side.

Asteras Villas is in the centre of Fira and clise to everything.

Since privacy is very important to me and my spouse we were a little bit worried that it wouldnt be private enough but we were wrong.

We had the Galatea suite and it was beautiful with a big comfortable bed and an amazing view.

When we arrived we were welcomed by George and Anna. George carried our bags from the transfer and all the stairs down to out room. (When we left he carried them to the transfer again, superman)

At arrival we had to wait for our room for a couple of minutes and meanwhile Anna let us know about the city and how we could contact her anytime with the mobilephone that belongs to the suite.

There were an application that asteras had just opened up were we could order what we wanted for breakfast and we misunderstood it at first so we accidentially sent about 20 orders but luckily of the same content.

The jacuzzi of the suite was amazing, wonderful view and just nice temperature... A tip for blondes not to let your hair down in any jacuzzi or pool in santorini since it might turn green. But that can happen anywhere where there are pools but just a reminder ;-)

Asteras is a lovely place to stay in the middle of everything and close to good food and shops.

Anna is a sweetheart that gives the best advice and helps with booking of boat tours aswell as transfer.

And George is truly superman that helps with everything and has good advice as well

I recommend it!

Pros: I simply love every part of this hotel. This hotel consists of only 6 rooms and you definitely get all the attention that you need. We got a cell phone so that we can contact them whenever we need. We even used the phone to contact our car rental company to check about the car that we rented. Breakfast was brought to our private balcony every morning at the time you told them. It is right in the centre of Fira and you get beautiful sunset from your own balcony. Jacuzzi is lukewarm and it was still quite chilly in April when we were there. If you are lucky enough you might get a free upgrade. For us I guess April was still a non-peak season we got an upgrade from Phoebe to Venus! Car park is also really close by and a Carrefour is just 5 mins walk and you could get all the wine and drinking water that you need!

Cons: The portion of the breakfast could be slightly bigger. It was difficult looking for the hotel because there was no explicit sign showing the direction. Only a little board at the entrance.

Room Tip: Get a Venus if your budget allows!

From the moment you arrive through the little gate at the top you know you are somewhere special. The Greek goddess that is Anna meets you and tells you all you need to know. She gives you a cell phone should you need her for anything around the island, not just in the villas, which is a really neat touch. She is a mine of information. George takes your cases for you down dramatic steps and we stayed in the Venus suite. The view from the jacuzzi on the balcony and the sun loungers and al fresco dining table is simply stunning. George brings your breakfast every morning and leaves it laid out for you at your requested time and the selection you can make is superb. Don't be shy to ask for extra when ordering! The rooms were spotless and had everything you need including a personal laptop, again a neat touch. We had a fantastic honeymoon here and Anna and George made it little bit more special. We shall remember our time here forever.

And the Asteras Villas went a long way in making our stay simply outstanding..We reached Santorini to find cold winds & a drizzle, far from our expectation of a sunny clime..But what Asteras Villas offered simply made our 4 night stay incredibly comfortable..

This started with an upgrade from Phoebe suite to Astrophelia, A large suite with extraordinary views and a superb Champagne breakfast every morning.

The staff was very helpful and Anna's suggestions regarding which winery to visit were very handy..Add to this the excellent location (right in the heart of Fira) that makes the markets, the taxi stand & the cable car terminal easy to access and you know where to stay when on a visit to Santorini..

Highly recommended !!

We stayed in the Astrophelia Suite and it was everything we had hoped for and more. It was a truly traditional Greek Island villa with a view that left you breathless and accomodation that you literally didn't want to leave no matter how alluring the sights on the Island were.
George and Anna, our hosts were gracious and left you to decide on how much interaction with them you had or wanted, making our stay quiet and intimate. We are privacy freaks and even though on the very odd occasion someone would walk past our suite on the way up the stairs we never felt intruding glances and we had plenty of opportunity to be private with a little imagination and stage setting.
We ate 75% of our meals on the balcony, meals we purchased at local restaurants and markets and we just didn't want to miss the luxurious nature of the place and the feeling of sitting on top of the amazing view.
The choice of breakfasts served by George on the balcony were a special treat and a great start to every day.

We slept well on a very comfortable bed and we are still talking about our special time in Santorini, thanks to our kind hosts and the Asteras Villas.
This is an exceptional property.

Room Tip: Our suite, the Astrophelia was in the middle and just fantastic

We've just enjoyed a 5 night stay in the Venus suite and it was absolutely marvellous.
The suite itself is spotlessly clean, there is a huge choice for breakfast and despite the number of tourists in the town it was incredibly quiet.
George and Anna were perfect hosts, with special mention to George for humping our cases up and down the stairs. A daunting task which he made look easy.
Asteras is in a great spot for visiting Fira and te view from the balcony was incredible. Could not recommend this place highly enough.
