Review of Keti Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jun 7, 2018via mobile
Incredible view, great service, scrumptious breakfast!! This was our first visit to Santorini and we selected a great place to stay. It is not in the direct heart of Fira, but that only adds to it’s quite charm and allure. All staff was beyond helpful and our Cave Room with private balcony was an awesome treat. We would highly recommend this hotel to all!

This is the perfect place to stay on the Caldera. It is centrally located in walking distance to the bus stop, taxis and Fira town. Although central, it is quiet and peaceful at night with the most amazing views. My first room that I had here was the cave room, which I highly recommend. The second was a twin room, which is on the smaller side. Both had amazing views, a large bathtub and comfortable beds. Wifi can be sketchy and the breakfast is fair, but the stay was memorable and I would recommend the hotel.

After lots of review and research we selected Hotel Keti when booking out trip to Santorini. My boyfriend and I booked this back in the fall for a trip May 4th-10th. While Keti did not have as many reviews as other hotels, they were all great. I am so happy we went with this selection! Where to begin... We stayed in the jacuzzi suite room which I highly recommend if you can splurge. The balcony was huge, jacuzzi heated, and two lounge chairs for relaxation. The views were breathtaking- looking right over the water at the Caldera, views to the right of Fira, Old Port, and the Donkeys. Sunset views from the room. Breakfast every morning was wonderful (and included). Location could not be beat- steps to all the shopping, sights, and restaurants you coudl ever need. They organized transfers to and from the airport for us, and called us a taxi when we needed to get elsewhere on the island. As long as you don't mind some stairs to and from, this hotel is worth every penny.

We booked a KING SUITE. There are two of them. Choose the suite to the right as you are looking out to sea. It has a big rock as part of the outdoor hot tub. Why choose this suite over the one next door? The terrace is larger. The big rock provides privacy from the hotels next door while you are in the tub. The half walls around the terrace are glass so you have an unobstructed view of the sea, sunset and the side view to the rest of Fira village. About our suite: simple, spacious, clean, bright and the wall looking out on the sea and sunset is 90% glass - so when you are inside you feel like you are outside. The suites are the lowest among all the hotels on the cliff so when you look straight out there are no hotels or buildings in your sight or below you. The buffet breakfast each morning was average (eggs were not kept warm). Steep stairs are a reality for most hotels on the cliff so this is not a negative against Keti Hotel - however be prepared! Arrange for the hotel porter to carry your bags in and out. It is steep and there are many stairs. I counted approximately 120 steps from where the taxi dropped us. Check in and out was easy. Hotel is very small so no lobby bar (but you can buy beer, wine and soft drinks at the check in desk). I would go back to the Keti Hotel King Suite for sure. Good value, very private, super chill vibe. If you are looking for all the fanciness of a luxury big European city hotel (ie: big pool, spa, lobby bar, in-hotel restaurant) then this is not the place for you.

Room tip: For best view and privacy choose King Suite on the right as you are looking out to sea

What an incredibly good find this hotel was! It never showed up during searching for hotels on the usual booking sites, so I just googled for “cave hotels” and found this one! For once I didn’t read the reviews and just looked at the location and hotel website. We were so surprised that this hotel was just in the perfect location and it was quiet as well! You can see the entire Caldera. Every morning waking up with a stunning view. The room itself was roomy and had all the necessities. The pillows were a bit high for me, but I didn’t encounter any sleeping probs. Breakfast was okay, but well if you have breakfast with the Caldera in front of you, you will be probably more focused on the view then the food. We also used the pool! That was nice as well. Staff was great!
