My first visit to Greece and my decision to stay at The Hotel Keti was based on previous positive reviews. I wasn't disappointed. I booked the hotel directly through it's website and from the outset the communication from Yiannis at the hotel was fantastic. He organised a Taxi to meet us at the airport and met us in Fira on foot to show us to our accommodation.

There are two options staying in Santorini. The beach side to the East or the Sunset Caldera view side to the West. The towns on the Caldera view side are built into the cliffs and so are generally hilly in nature. The Hotel Keti is on the Caldera view side very close to the centre of Fira, and like a lot of hotels in the area it is not accessible directly by car. A number of steps have to be tackled to get to the hotel so it may not suit people with mobility problems. Having said that, the steps are well worth the effort to reach this perfect little hotel and you get used to them after a while.

The service from Yiannis was first class and he is a mind of information on the area, booking trips for us and showing the best places to go. The room was a comfortable twin room with sink and fridge and air conditioning. Breakfast is available at a supplement but we decided to dine out. The room was in typical Greek design which was a big plus. Sheets and towels were changed regularly and everything was spotless.

We stayed for a week and the views of the sunsets and the Old Port were amazing. There was a shared balcony with ample room for everyone to sit out and relax. A trip up the steps brings you to the town of Fira which has plenty of bars/restaurants & nightlife if you are looking for it.

I can say nothing negative about this hotel and would highly recommend it especially for value for money.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in throughout our trip through Europe - and the best thing was it was one of the cheapest. My best friend and I (two 20 year old girls) couldn't have asked for a better hotel to experience Santorini. Located down several steep, slippery steps down the Caldera, Hotel Keti combined an amazing view without sacrificing a great location. We were a little hesitant at first, thinking that we would be surrounded by lovers, but Santorini also has an amazing nightlife, contrary to what we had been told. I would recommend this hotel for anyone, from those stereotypical honey-mooners, to party animals like ourselves.
My favorite thing about the hotel was it is everything you imagine Santorini to be...I would recommend staying along the Caldera rather than behind the main square because...what kind of a Santorini-experience would you have if you weren't braving steep steps and white and blue alleyways every day? Not a good one...
The staff were unbelievable! So willing to help all the time. Don't get put off by other reviews....this is a fantastic hotel, no question.

Wow! Wht a great hotel to stay in.If you're looking for somewhere that is clean, comfortable and afforable with the most amazing views then this could be your place! We had great service and took the staff up on their recommendations for eating out and places to see, which was great. Tip: don't take lot of luggage to Santorini (there are loads of steps). We are going back next year!

We visited Santorini for four days during July 2009 and unfortunately were only able to stay at hotel Keti for two nights due to leaving it too late to make our booking.

We found the hotel to be everything we expected it to be. The views were superb, the staff very friendly and the room affordable, clean and comfortable.

The room was relatively small and simply furnished which is all that you need in this beautiful location as there is absolutely no need to spend much time inside. The staff are very friendly and 5 euro per person breakfast was good value compared with what is on offer at the cafes in the town. The hotel has a number of small balconies/decks to enjoy the Caldera views and sunshine during the day.

We would definately recommend Hotel Keti for those who are looking for affordable accommodation with great views. If you are seeking a large room with higher quality furnishings then this might not be for you - try one of the hotels for twice the price nearby. There are also a number of relatively steep steps to get up and down from the footpath before you get to the rooms which some people might find a little difficult to deal with if they are unsteady on their feet.

This hotel is in a great location. The room was nice and the view was perfect. It could be a bit of a pain if you have a lot of luggage or a stroller due to the steps you have to walk down getting there but the hotel is totally worth it. The hotel employees were very helpful and nice.

My wife and I stayed in one of the superior rooms for 3 nights in the beginning of October which was just in the off peak season. The large balconey which we shared with 2 other units had the most sensational views where one could sit for hours watching the donkeys walking up and down the Caldera steps and the all the cruise ships coming and going. We booked directly with Yiannis who was an excellent host and found the off peak rates extremely good value. Our unit was self contained which enabled breakfast and or evening drinks to be had on that magnificent balconey. There are a lot of steps for heavy suitcases so travel light. Santorini is a must for visitors to the Greek Islands and Hotel Keiti with that location is the place to stay.

This Hotel really did a great job. From reserving the room to the arrival all went well.
I called when we arrived and had got to Fira and the receptionist Aina (I hope that I got this right) was fantastic. She offered to come and get us which did not end up being necessary.

She was the only person who we saw there, but the room was always cleaned when we got back so others must have been around.

The hotel is really well located in Fira, as you have fairly easy access if you are on a moped. 5 Min walk from a parking spot near the main Cathedral. There are stairs however, so if you dont do stairs this and most of Santorini is not the place for you.

The rooms were really clean and are split into different room types. The descriptions on the website are true and accurate. We took a superior room and ended up with the one on the lower level on the far right so had a private balcony along with a communal one.
There is so much hype about the best place to watch the Sunset in Santorini that we did not do so at the hotel our first two nights, but on the last did, and it was an amazing spot. If you are looking for a hotel with great views and sunset, this is the place.

Offered breakfast for an additional 7 euro per person and it is well put out and presented. However my opinion is with so many interesting places to be you can do better for breakfast. The rooms have fridges which is perfect if you want to have your own snack, wine etc particularly for sunset.

I found Fira really well situated if you are wanting to explore the whole island. Oia is definitely prettier, but is way on one end of the island, Fira is great for the airport, beaches, nights life, access to the old port and ferries and other sight seeing. As mentioned earlier we found it really convenient to have a moped and parked it close by, as nothing was more than about 30 min away. You are able to leave luggage after check out.

The staffs recommendations for dinners etc and general professionalism and friendliness were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. For location it is great value for money.

1st week in July was great to go, as it is busy, but the season is not in full swing, which we were told started in a week or so.
