“Nice Casual Lunch Spot”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

O Souvlaros has great food. Our hotel recommended it and the family that runs the restaurant is super sweet. We ordered a Greek salad and grilled meat balls smyrneika with rice. The sweet tomato sauce offset the lamb perfectly. The salad was fresh and crisp. The smyrneika was very tasty. Everything seemed made to order so don't expect things to come rushing out. Just enjoy the bread, watch the cats that prowl around and wait for the delicious food. Our waitress gave us a small sample of her mother's homemade almond chocolate which was by far one of the most memorable things I've ever eaten.

“Didn't expect how amazing both food and service was!”
Reviewed September 10, 2013

We were recommended this restaurant at our hotel, and didn't think much of it until we had our first meal. The food was beyond great, spiced better than anywhere else we went in Greece. Almost everything we tried was fantastic! We ended up eating here at least once a day for our entire trip and it just blew all the other restaurants out of the water. We ended up coming back on our second trip to the island because it was so great. The service was also fantastic, and you feel at home because its family run. Respectful and knowledgeable service!

“Feel at home in Fira...”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

We were recommended this restaurant by the Lefteris, the owner of the fantastic Hotel Antonia. Otherwise we would have never located this restaurant, excellent for greek home cooking. Maria speaks excellent english, is super welcoming and always has a smile. She and her parents run the restaurant, with her mother and father doing most of the cooking.

The restaurant is walking distance from the center of Fira, near the bus station.

The food was fresh, inexpensive and it really took out the stress of eating at the restaurants on the caldera, which are charge a small fortune for the view and provide poor touristic food. The place is small and very clean.

We did dinner, take out gyro and breakfast here and would not hesitate to go back again in the future.

Go for a good experience!

and if you are looking for a hotel - do yourself a favor and look into Hotel/Apartments Antonia. Once you meet Lefteris, the owner, you will be sad when you check out.
