It's a very nice museum, and presents well-preserved artifacts. I highly recommend a visit to the sight in Akrotiri, before visiting the museum, to see where the artifacts belong. I loved the wall-paintings and the beautiful urns.

After visiting bother Thira and Akrotiri we thought it would be good to stop here. Ticket price good. Staff all friendly. It was nice to see up close the finds (including the wall paintings) but it is a bit small and the information is limited. I also felt that its a shame that these wasn't kept on the two sites as part of these museums as it would have made a little more sense but worth the visit and makes more sense if you see the sites first.

Stunning frescoes and ornaments from Akrotiri, well displayed with informative panels. There are very few artifacts left at Akrotiri, so to understand the site this museum is a must. Close to the bus station.

Some interesting artifacts from Santorini. Not a big museum, but worth taking the walk around it. One mystery--there is an interior corridor, completely sealed in. What's there? Did the architect not realize that sun would damage the artifacts, so that they had to paint over and curtain the windows ex post facto?
