This museum was worth visiting, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it if you're tight on time. Although there are some good artifacts and information in the museum, it's very small, and you can get through the entire place in about 30 minutes. After seeing the National Archaeological Museum in Athens and the archaeological sites in Santorini, this didn't impress me very much. But, if you have the time, there are some interesting things inside. You can take photos inside, but you can take them ONLY of the artifacts; you cannot photograph yourself with the artifacts. So weird. Also, the restrooms are a little outdated and not entirely clean, so you might want to go elsewhere.

Quaint little museum with thorough descriptions and extrememly well preserved artifacts. Definitely go here before you visit the archeological site in Akrotiri, as all the artifacts are in the museum.

Entry fee of 3 euros per person.Nice painting and different vase.A bit small for a museum but maybe they don't have that much to show to public.Don't miss the golden animal miniature at the end it is beautiful.

The museum was interesting from the point of view of learning more about the local history but it was fairly basic and not as amazing as the web sites rave about. There were mostly old vases and some wall paintings. Entry fee Eur 3.
