My wife and I just spent our honeymoon at this hotel and had a terrific time. Breakfast on our own balcony every morning overlooking the caldera was beyond our expectations. The staff was very helpful so that we were able to make the most of our week in Santorini.

Traveled with my sister and my parents. We were bummed not to have a trendy minimalist spa hotel with an infinity pool, but what we got was even better. We stayed in a mansion suite. I am still dreaming about how beautiful this place and this island is and cannot wait to come back.

It was cloudy the night we went to Oia for sunset, so we got the best sunset views from our hotel deck, and WOW were they something.

Extremely fast walking distance to the hustle and bustle, but still beautifully tucked away and quiet.

It's really close to the start of the Fira to Oia hike trail, which I didn't know, so I ended up walking us in a circle for an extra mile (whoops.) And if you're not up for the full hike, it's really easy to slip out of the hotel and walk on the caldera, especially early in the morning when all the shops are still closed.

Pool is in full sunlight in later afternoon, which is when we needed a dip, so that worked out well.

Also right on the donkey path. (No smell - to counter previous ratings.)

Breakfast is a bit overhyped for everything except the yogurt.

Getting cabs is awful on Santorini, even through your hotel. Not your hotels fault, this island isn't New York - the demand is overwhelming high for a small amount of cars. If I were traveling with just my sister or my boyfriend, we would have used the buses (which are GORGEOUS, cheap and comfortable) or rented atvs. My parents refused and insisted on cabs, which was the most stressful part of this trip.

The hotel offers very serene environment and traditional experience. It is quite central and yet tucked away in a quite corner. The service was phenomenal.

The rooms were very luxurious and comfortable with amazing views from the balconies. The only thing we really missed was an infinity pool to enjoy that amazing view.

We stayed in authentic santorinian residences room, it is a two stories kind of villa, downstairs is the bedroom, amazing big bathroom with marble seats like in a hammam in the shower and a living room. The living is connected through a door to a kind of shared inside terrace. This small terrace is connected to another room. Upstairs is a living room and a small toilett. The kind of villa room is newly renovated. I think a family with 2-3 children fit this villa if they agree so many inside, it is that big. The terrace is amazing but you don t have direct acces from the room to it and everybody can acces it but they tell upon check in to everybody whos has which terrace. The terrace overlooks the sea, cruise ships and the caldera. The sunsets are amazing from this terrace and in privacy. The monastery next to it gives it a big plus. The breakfast is served on everybody privates terrace on an hour agreed one evening before. The experience was on top breakfasts we had till now. The hotel pool is very small but nice and intimate because very few customers use it. It is perfect to refresh yourself. We didn t try dinner in the hotels restaurant although we regret this because touristic restaurants in center of fira are a nerv threatening option, expensive and with bad food and service. The hotel is positioned a bit hard to find and not able to being accesed by car to in front of it. You have to walk a bit. You can walk to the center of Fira which is quite close and the view is wort it. The staff is nice, the reception employes kind and helpful. You feel like home not like in a hotel, you hardly see the stafd but your needs are fulfilled.

We spent 6 amazing nights here and everything was perfect. The staff is exceptional and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued. It was one of the best customer service experiences we have ever experienced at any hotel. They are to be highly commended.

We stayed in the Notos room, which is a single room with a private balcony. The room is quaint, immaculate and the bed very comfortable. My only suggestion is that they replace the queen size bed with a king size bed because there is definitely room for it.

The view from the private balcony is unbelievable. We had all of our breakfasts out there and spent a few evenings sitting outside enjoying the sunset over a bottle of wine. The complimentary breakfasts were awesome and were a great way to start the day.

The location is great because you are on the south edge of town, so it's close enough that everything in Fira is a 5-15 walk, but far enough that you're not bothered by the street noise in the evening.

The only slight negative is that you cannot lay out by the pool because of physical space constraints. However, it's only a 20 minute bus ride to Perivolos beach, so we spent a few of our days there.

If you are looking for a great romantic getaway, look no further than the Aigialos!
