On the main road but quiet. Majority of rooms offer no view at all (if you come to Santorini for the first time YOU HAVE to stay somewhere with a view to the volcano). Simple rooms are pathetic, superior rooms are descent, suites and villas are good but could be perfect with minor changes and additions (decoration, services, amenities, better linens, cleaner private pool). Breakfaste is a desgrace for Greek standards. It is only good for people with no sense of taste, who are used to eating McBreakfast every morning. Fresh bread, fresh orange juice and variety of cheese and hams are a MUST for a hotel that wants to be called a "resort". The effort for quality service is obvious but still the result is poor, not because of the staff (very sweet and willing to help at all times) but because of the bad management and lack of organization in general. I have to say that upon our arrival the rooms we got were wrong (simple roooms with no view instead of seaview suites) but after complaining the front desk immediately offered us private villas with own pool (but no seaview). This hotel is a perfect example of the old, pre-crisis hotteling philosophy in Greece: build big, promote and advertise bigger, offer as less as possible. Overall result: Average.

The place has great ambience. Truly a relaxing resort. Has three pools and beautiful landscapes. Friendly staff and flexible and helpful as we requested for a room change and was seen to it effectively to our satisfaction.
Location - perfect, 5 mins walk to town of Fira
Hotel overlooks the volcano, a great view for sunset shot.
Breakfast is great with a great variety of choices.
Wifi is also available for the workaholics.
A kettle is not provided in the room so if you do crave for a coffee you will have to buy one at the bar.

El Greco Fira Santorini was amazing!
The staff were great with local knowledge recommending sites, walks, restaurants, all to the high level of our expectation for each experience.

Staff were prompt, social and friendly.

There was 6 diffent pools all natural temprature, 4 large/normal size and two spa size but were pools not spa, unfortunately for us it was blowing up to 70km winds no change we were going in the pool just too cold, but they look clean and inviting.
They are building a warm spa from what staff told me, so that would be great.
Would defiantly recommend a stay here close to everything.
Great scenery / views.

After a bad start where we lost our luggage in Athens , we arrived in El Greco and were pleasantly surprised to have a most warm and genuine welcome from the Hotel staff . We were upgraded to a superior room which was large and spacious and well furnished. The property is well maintained and the asset for this hotel is its staff. My special thanks to Elena for helping to make this stay in Santorini a memorable one.

Room Tip: While we had stated our preference for a sea facing room , one needs to be aware that in April ther...

We arrived at sunset and took pictures before we even checked in as the sunset was spectacular across from the hotel entrance.
Even though room was nothing too memorable, the courtyards with pools and nt lighting were very pretty. The day we were departing we lazed at the pool on the poolside comfy lounges.
From the hotel we could walk to Fira town to bus stop to beaches and Oia, as well as all the shops and restaurants. We watched the touraists coming up on the donkeys (avoid) and the funicular, before enjoying Gyros at a lunch stand..

Room Tip: Get one poolside if you can

My wife and I spent a week here in July 2012. It was a great hotel with some of the best staff we have ever experienced. The food in the restaurant was very good and very reasonable. Recommend the steak!

Room Tip: The Santo Wine tour and the candera boat tours are well worth it. Oia has probably the best sunsets...

Came here for our honeymoon. Serive was great. The hotel upgraded our room for us with a view of Caldera. Reception was very helpful with any question/ acommidation we had. The hotel is located just outside of town which was nice because it was very quiet at night. Also it has a great View of the caldera at sunset/ sunrise.
