“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

My wife and I visited Santorini for 9 days. Hotel Villa Renos was the perfect place to stay. The hospitality of the staff is phenomenal. Vassilis is a wonderful person to talk to and offers so much information about what to do and where to go. The hotel is in an awesome location as you only have 1 flight of stairs to go down before you are at the hotel. Some hotels require you to walk down 3 to 4 flights of stairs to get to the hotel which is not bad but having to walk up 4 flights every time you leave your room can be grueling. Do yourself a favor and stay at Villa Renos so you only have 1 flight of stairs to climb each morning when you go out on your excursions. Every morning you are treated to an awesome breakfast on the upstairs balcony ( made fresh from the family garden). We missed breakfast the first morning as we arrived late the night before and overslept. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT MISS BREAKFAST, it is some of the best food I have had for breakfast. Vassilis even asks if you would like eggs or any other fresh food included in the complimentary breakfast. My wife and I are extensive travelers and we plan to see the entire world in the next 15 years. Hotel Villa Renos is one of the best hotels that we have had the luxury of staying at and the next time we visit Santorini it WILL BE the hotel that we book. Make sure and book early as they only have 8 rooms and tend to fill up quickly as their reputation sets a standard as the best hotels in Santorini. Thank you Vasilis for a wonderful visit and your awesome hospitality, we will see you again on our next visit to Santorini. :-) thank you so much again for an unforgettable visit, Mark & Stacie Chmielewski

Room Tip: The hotel does not have a spa in the hotel but you can reserve a room with your own jacuzzi. The jac...

Hotel Villa Renos is perched high on the cliff side in the hot spot of Santorini, Greece, with an extensive view of the blue sea and caldera. Lovingly built by the present owners, each room enjoys the view and has, or has access to, balconies, Though we were only there two nights we got to chat and joke with the owner, Petros, and his son, Vassilis. This is a family run hotel. We became emotionally attached to the place within a short time. One of the main features of our stay was the gourmet four or five course breakfast. Each day's menu, we were told by other guests, was never repeated during their longer stay. We did do some research to discover Villa Renos as this was to be the highlight of our trip to Greeece, and we were not disappointed but overwhelmed with the beauty, care and attention to detail. Though central to the bustling activity, Villa Renos is nestled into the hillside in total privacy. As it is located on a street for pedestrians only, help with baggage and taxis is willingly arranged by the hotel service. When we arrived we were in time to view the magnificent, classic Santorini sunset. This holiday will remain in our memories forever.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem to have a view and many with their own patio and balcony. You can't go wrong...

Wife and I just returned from our honeymoon where we stayed for 6 nights at Villa Renos. The service and location of this hotel is magnificent. Only 2 minutes walk from the heart of Fira and the service that Vassilis offered each day was second to none. He even took care of locating and arranging the delivery of our lost luggage. Breakfast each day is amazing (3 courses + fruit and dessert), air conditioning and the cleanliness of the room was also good. For English speakers the cable TV is also excellent. We had an outdoor jacuzzi which was nice and cold, and on the odd occasion we would heat it up for a late night dip. View from our balcony of the sunset was also fantastic. Would highly recommend and a big thank you to Vassilis for all his service.

This is my second time @ Renos Villas & there is no other place like it in SANTORINI! The hospitality of Petros, Zina & Vasilis is something else , they welcome their guest like their own family love with love & passion, nothing is too much for them & their traditional Greek breakfast is to die for, the breakfast dessert an absolute unique touch to start your wonderful day exploring the worlds most beautiful island. Love it & will always find my way back in the near future!

Room Tip: The top rooms are always the best but you can't go wrong with any really magnificent views from...

I booked a mini break staying at Villa Renos and was so pleased that I did. The location is excellent, very centrally placed without being noisy. The views are spectacular and the balcony setting is very private. If your looking for somewhere romantic then Villa Renos is the one. One of the things that sets itself apart is the hospitality provided by Vasillis. He is there to provide helpful tips about where to go and local knowledge. The breakfasts are to die for. They are like a 5 course greek banquet! I would also recommend the Sunset catamaran which was really special and booked through Vasillis. I would also advise booking the deluxe double. Overall, a gem not to be missed.

Room Tip: Try the tomato and scrambled egg at breakfast - bloody delicious !!

I have been Santorini twice now, and I have to say the service my family received from Vasilis and his family was out of this world. If you ever get the opportunity to visit Santorini make your stay at Hotel Villa Renos. The food is awesome the room are extremely well catered for and the views are to die for, from any where in the hotel. In my opinion you see the best sunset from the hotel that island has to offer. Thank you again to Vasilis and Family look forward to seeing you all again. From Colin, Christina and Zoe

Room Tip: All rooms have killer views and not one is better than the other.

I can't say enough nice things about Villa Renos. Vilassis and his parents are the most hospitable people. They make you feel right at home. They were so helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations, taxis and car rentals, and winery recommendations. Vilassis' mom makes the most amazing breakfasts from scratch. She grows vegetables in her garden. She buys fresh fish at the market. She dries her own apricots in the sun. Each breakfast is 3 courses and includes dessert and you can eat it on the terrace overlooking the caldera. And did I mention the view? We stayed in room #1 and had a private balcony with the most beatiful views of the caldera, the town of Fira, and the sunset. It was paradise.
We stayed at Villa Renos on our first trip to Santorini and we weren't sure if we should stay in town or outside of town where there's less activity. I couldn't believe how quiet this hotel was even though it's right in the middle of town. In the morning when we were eating breakfast, the only sound you could hear were the bells on the donkeys necks as they walked to work on the path below the hotel.
The room was basic but clean and the king size bed had a memory foam mattress, TV, good light and great air conditioning. It also had wireless internet and the hotel will let you borrow laptops to take to your room. Room #1, where we stayed, also had a day bed in it so it could sleep 3 people. The bathroom was a typical European en suite with a bath/shower combo. If I had one complaint about this hotel it was that the bathroom was a bit dark and it could use a better hair dryer.
As with most of the hotels on the cliff, you have to walk up stairs from the main road to get to the main part of town and then down several stairs to get to the hotel but Villa Renos has fewer steps than many of the other hotels because it sits up higher on the cliff.
Overall, this was an awesome place to stay. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Room #1 is on a corner and has a king size bed and a day bed with the most awesome views of the cald...
