Description: ASSYRTICO Wine Restaurant cafe, since 2011, offers alternative and innovative suggestions of the Greek Cuisine, using mainly local and selected products from around Greece. The same philosophy inspired the restaurant's wine list. A wide variety of wines from Santorini and the rest of Greece can be explored with the help of the professional staff of the restaurant! In 2016 Assyrtico relocated and moved from the 1st floor to the Garden of the'60s mansion it was based.

The Assyrtico is co-owned by the owner of the Nichteri in Kamari, who stands for innovative and sophisticated local cuisine. The food was very good and the wines from the local Assyrtico grape are somehow unique, worth trying, very pleasant.

I can say that there are much better restaurants you can visite at the capital of the island. The prices for the dishes offered by the restaurant is very high. The service is very slow and we waited a long time.

Nothing great. Nothing bad. Not nearly as good as our other restaurants on Santorini. Pasta and bread were ok.

Assyrtico was recommended by our hotel receptionist and we decided to give it a try on the very first night we arrived.

The food was above our expectations and the quality of the food was great. The only pity was we arrived for dinner after sunset close to 9pm. I think you may have a great view from the restaurant if you arrive earlier or go in during lunch.

If it's a special meal with quality then this is one of 2 to visit and enjoy. The other bring Apiron. However this place is top notch, to say the food is delicious would be to do this place an injustice .
I had the lamb shank and got to say wow !!!! My partner had seafood fetucinni she loved it . For sweet I had cheese cake , don't be fooled by the title, it's more than this , presentation of the whole meal deserves an accolade in itself .
What's the downside ... There's always one , and this place is no exception . It's the ambience, there's not much to be had ,but the food more than makes up for this . Miss this pace at your peril ,,,, but take your visa card with you .
