Description: In the early 70s a famous Italian chef, Giovanni, starts his trip to Greece. During a cruise he arrives in Mykonos, he gets thrilled by the Greek islands and the Greek light and opens restaurants on the cosmopolitan island and in Psyri in Athens. Santorini, however, becomes his last stop, the final destination of a journey full of experiences and challenges. On the magnificent island of Santorini he meets Niko Topuzi, a real connoisseur of authentic Italian pizza with huge experience! Together they envision a partnership and the creation of a unique Italian restaurant. Their dream comes true and Cacio e Pepe opens on one of the main streets of Fira. The authentic Italian cuisine and impeccable service make it a hot spot with fanatic customers, not only travelers, but also the residents of Santorini.

This restaurant was recommended by locals, we had a late dinner there and everything was fine. I think the owner is Italian, so you get to try all the recipes the "Italian way". Even if we were the last to leave the staff was helpful and welcoming. Prices were normal, 10-12 EUR per person.

Try the pizza, if you order pasta you might think that the portion is small.

Delish food if you're an Italian lover!
I ate bruschetta and tomatoe and mozzarella salad to start. Then tagliatelle for main. So good!
If you're a pizza lover they are amasing value and very large!
Staff are lovely and friendly and all Italian.

Only down side is its not in the heart of other restaurants so not a great atomosphere but we went for the food!

I went to this restaurant tonight for dinner and I was agreeably surprised that the two nice waiters both speak Italian. It was a pleasure to find typical Italian dishes and the waiters were very kind. The only bad thing, the credit card machine did'nt work, but who cares when the experience is so good! Grazie mile.

Service started out ok, but then there was only us and one other table there when we first arrived. Food arrived promptly and was ok - not like true Italy by any means but a decent effort and a nice break from 7 days of Greek food. Pizza and calzone were cooked in a clay oven.
We finished eating at 9pm, 40 mins later our plates were still in front of us, even though couples that arrived way after us were cleared. After ours were finally cleared, we waited another 10 mins hoping someone might bring a dessert menu, in the end we gave up and left. Poor service, considering there were only 8 tables there, and supposedly 2 waiters, although one was chatting inside and the other was disinterested and poor. Disappointing evenung - could have been good, but left us annoyed instead.
