Description: In the early 70s a famous Italian chef, Giovanni, starts his trip to Greece. During a cruise he arrives in Mykonos, he gets thrilled by the Greek islands and the Greek light and opens restaurants on the cosmopolitan island and in Psyri in Athens. Santorini, however, becomes his last stop, the final destination of a journey full of experiences and challenges. On the magnificent island of Santorini he meets Niko Topuzi, a real connoisseur of authentic Italian pizza with huge experience! Together they envision a partnership and the creation of a unique Italian restaurant. Their dream comes true and Cacio e Pepe opens on one of the main streets of Fira. The authentic Italian cuisine and impeccable service make it a hot spot with fanatic customers, not only travelers, but also the residents of Santorini.

“Authentic and good value”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

We ate here twice during our week in Santorini, having discovered it last year. In common with most restaurants without a caldera view, you will find better prices here without compromising on food quality. Pizzas are thin and very crispy, steaming hot. Lasagnes are full of meat rather than padded out with white sauce, salads are fresh. Each time we have eaten here there have been Italian customers who seem to like the food!

Staff are friendly and efficient. Read the writings on the wall just inside...lots of praise from fellow chefs. Makes nice reading.

“Top Italian in Fira! Delicious food! Nice service! Good price!”
Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

We have spend 10 days in Santorini and 8 of our 9 diners we had them at the Cacio e Pepe! We loved the delicious food and the nice service. We felt like at home! the guys were always so kind and gentle and welcomed us with a warm smile every evening! We suggest you not only the Pizzas, that are made by Italian, but also the pastas that are exquisite... The desert we preferred was the Mattonella della felicitá! You have to try it...
Un saluto dal Italiano finto :)

“Very nice people, good pizza”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

After a month of Greek food we wanted to tear into some Italian food and this didn't disappoint. My son loved the Pizza and the pasta. I loved the nice people and the tall cold beer. As others have mentioned there is no caldera view - it is set back from the main road but at night it really doesn't make a difference. We enjoyed it and we would go back again as I feel it is a 'reliable' place.
