“Wow! Service and food combined”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

This restaurant was one of our favourite out of all the 16 countries we visited on our trip. You get amazing food, with a picturesque view, along with top dollar service!! Price of food was defiantly reasonable!
We went to this place the last 2 nights of our stay in fira because of how much we enjoyed our meals there. I am and will recommend to anyone who journeys to Fira Greece :)

“Unfortunately average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014 via mobile

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after sunset and were seated promptly, despite not having a reservation. We ordered the aubergines and shrimp saganaki to start. The saganaki was delicious but the aubergine dish was rather strange and served with an unpleasant sauce. We then had the seafood linguine and the cod. The linguine was lovely but there was far too much pasta. The cod was disappointing - two pieces of fish covered in batter with a few chips on the side. Not the traditional Greek dish we were hoping for! We were then left waiting for 45 minutes for someone to clear our plates away, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Rather than try dessert, we asked for the bill and left as soon as we could.

“Amazing”

We were so satisfied the first time that we went again the day after.
Amazing scenery, very profesional service and real greek gourmet dishes. As a Greek I would say that it is a must visit!!

“OK food, pay for location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014 via mobile

Went here for dinner and overall it was an average meal. I'm sure there are probably nicer places along the front to eat in though.

Views are good, but pretty much every restaurant on the front has unrivalled views. The thing that put me off is that this is in an area of town that smells like donkey poo! Not nice to get wafts of it every now and again! Not that it was the restaurant's fault.

Service was also a little slow and unattenive. Food itself was fine - I had the prawns for main and you could tell they had been charcoal grilled.

An average place to eat out of one of the hundreds of places to choose from.

“Ask for Mario”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2014 via mobile

A group of 6 of us went to Volcano Blue a couple days ago and had a great time. The food was very good, the price was fair, and the view was of course priceless (as are many other views in Santorini)... but the thing that stood out the most to us was the service. Our waiter was Mario. He was very attentive (but not overbearing), made excellent recommendations, and became a very positive part of our experience at Volcano Blue. The following night we ate at another restaurant just down the hill a bit from Volcano Blue, amd we were completely disappointed, in comparison to our night at Volcano Blue... but I will save that for another review. In summary, ask for Mario at Volcano Blue. His passion for what he does is refreshing.
