Great value but also delicious freshly cooked food.
We arrived just before they opened for lunch. It was a very warm afternoon so we sat outside, the food was excellent, service with a smile and a nice cold beer to wash it down.We were given a free ice cream as well..really worth having a meal here, good local food that wont break the bank.

“A must go if you are in FIRA”

Saw on tripadvisor the glowing reviews and we thought we would give it a try arrived right as they were opening, so got a table, but all of the were almost booked. Sat outside (a bit loud and stinky with all the quad bikes around) But too hot inside.

Ordered way too much food not realising the portions were so BIG!! Everything was so yummy and authentic, came back two more times on our trip. The owner is so lovely and helpful and you get complimentary bread and mini ice creams for dessert every time. Best service we had on our whole European trip!! Best to book, you can get your hotel to call for you usually!

“Great food, fantastic service”

We had a lovely evening at the restaurant with Irene being an extremely attentive host and her husband firing out some great food from the kitchen.
The food is lovely but one word of warning, the serving sizes are huge!! We ordered an entree and main each with a salad to share but by the time the mains came out, we were incredibly full, but without batting an eyelid, Irene had the leftovers packaged up and ready for us to take home.
We had ordered a half bottle of house wine with dinner only to discover we liked it and required a second half bottle ;) When Irene came to the table to give us the bill, she only charged us for a single full bottle instead of the two half bottles, it's service like this that make for an enjoyable evening, especially when paired with great food.

“Best home-cooked Greek meal ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

Recommended to any visitor to Santorini, this is a must go restaurant.

Before our trip, we did some research on TripAdvisor on the recommend restaurants. Salt and Petter was one of our choices to go.
Had our first lunch there and I have to say... AMAZING!

Of course after that, we also tried various other TripAdvisor recommended restaurants, it was alright. And in the end, our last dinner before heading back to the UK was Salt and Pepper again! As you can imagine, how much we missed the food that we had to go back there!

The thing we like most about this restaurant is, the couple who owned and run the restaurant are very friendly and the portion are BIG. Unlike some places where we've been, you pay some good money for it but the portion are not enough to fill you up.

The restaurant itself is simple but yet lovely, as how we prefer it because we pay for the quality of the food and not the quality of the decoration.

Definitely go back there during our next visit to Santorini!!

“Fantastic restaurant, amazing service”

Eat here!!!!
If you are in Fira Satorini, do yourself a favor and just come here. Located on the main road on the north side just about a 5-10 minutes stroll from the main square.
The restaurant is very small, maybe 10-12 tables.
We got lucky when we made it there around 8:00pm and there was one table available.
The food was outstanding, we had chicken souvlaki and a dish called the the drunk mans dish. Which was pork in a white wine sauce with lemon. Wow, wow, wow.
The bread that comes with the table was free and fresh, the olive oil and vinegar was the best we had on island. Food was very fresh, large portions and cooked perfectly.
After your meal, you are treated to a small ice cream cone on the house and it is perfect after the meal.
Restaurant is run by a husband (cook) and wife (waitress) team who are fantastic. The waitress is an absolute pleasure. She takes the time to have a conversation share a story and run the operation. She acknowledges every person as though they are a friend.
Must stop at this restaurant at least once on your trip, no view but great, great little restaurant. Go for a walk to get the view, eat here!!
Would recommend to friends and family for sure.
