We stayed here the majority of the time while on Santorini, and it was amazing. First of all, the location allows you some of the most gorgeous sunset views over the caldera and the Aegean Sea, just right outside your room. Very nice modern amenities in the rooms and the little touches (chocolate for turn-down service). Daily breakfast came with our rate, and it was yummy! Not the regular pastry continental type, but a variety of hot breakfast dishes cooked to order. To top that off, they'll bring it to your private patio/balcony every morning for you to enjoy the breath-taking views with. The resort is built into the cliffs on the caldera (even the cute elevators were built into the mountain, very nice) so it offers a perfect location for you to enjoy the view. It is located just outside of Fira and has complimentary shuttles to and from Fira 6 times a day (takes 5 minutes). As lovely as the resort and location and views were, the best part about Petit Palace was by far, the STAFF. I can't say enough about these amazingly gracious, welcoming, hospitable, and just friendly people here. At the reception desk, you may be greeted by Mike, Kyriakos, or Maria, all of whom are top notch! Mike and Kyriakos are so accommodating and helpful, telling you about the island, walking you to your room and showing you the property; Maria is sooo personable and helps you with just about anything. She even remembered why we were there and said "happy birthday" to me on my birthday. :) In the restaurant are Dina and Costa, who are very friendly. They're also the ones bringing you your drinks at the pool or lounge, or champagne bottles to your balcony for the sunset, or room service. They're awesome! Everyone was so nice and polite to us, that a little niceness and gratitude back will go a long way. After all, they really deserve it. To all the staff, thank you for making our first trip to Santorini such a memorable one! I will definitely come back here again and recommend this place to all my friends.

Room Tip: We stayed in 109, which has a HUGE patio/balcony, and nobody on your left side. If you want a room w...

We stayed in this hotel the last week in August having fallen for Santorini 6 years ago when we stayed at the sister hotel - Volcano View Villas. This hotel is in a class of its own - - the breathtaking views (far better for sunsets than Oia to which tourists crowd every evening), the hotel is beautifully carved into the rockface. The rooms are spacious - we were upgraded to a junior suite - and finely organised. The service was brilliant - special thanks to Mike, Maria and Dina, nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel was billed as romantic and it is indeed ideal for couples. But as a mother and daughter, we also had a perfect time.
In terms of food, the breakfasts were excellent, a wide variety of food on the menu. However, we were slightly dissapointed with dinner as we felt it was overpriced for what it was. These are, however small complaints. We loved our stay and we would recommend this hotel to anyone and we hope to return in the future.

We have just spent a wonderful week at Petit Palace ,The most impressive thing is the wonderful scenery from every room or suite and although there is a restaurant breakfast can also be served on your own private terrace -simply lovely, a great way to start each day( no delays with the time we booked our breakfast arrived right on time) All the staff were extremely friendly ,polite and helpful, service with a smile every day. Perhaps we're used to walking but have to disagree with other reviews that it's too far to walk to Fira 30 minutes along a path over-looking amazing views all the way,no hills or awkward pathways,we did this several times really enjoyed it and the beer and cocktail had the best taste when we reached our destination. Have to agree this is the place for a wonderful romantic get away and a place to remember.

We stayed at the Petit Palace for one night only while we were in Santorini. We also stayed at another place on Satorini. While the views were spectacular and the Petit Palace offered many amenities that were not offered at our other inn, the rooms at the Petit Palace were much smaller and not as luxurious as you would expect for the price.

My fiancé and I stayed at Petit Palace a couple days ago. It is by far one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at. Both from an aesthetic perspective and from a customer service standpoint. The views were breath taking and the decor of the hotel was beyond impressive. Maria and Michael where extremely service oriented at the front desk and Dina was amazing in the beautiful restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel for those who like a modern feel but still would like some traditional attributes.

Room Tip: All the rooms face the ocean and provide phenomenal views.

We lived in Petit Palace for 2 nights a week ago. It is nice morden hotel, great sea view, we really enjoyed every minute in the hotel.

It takes 30 minutes walk to Fira town, do not try to do it as hotel has shuttle bus.
