1 week into our 2 week hols in Santorini and it feels
Iike we've eaten in every local rustic Greek place on the island already; very nice though they all are. We found this place while exploring Fira and the menu on display outside definitely made me decide it was time for something a bit more cosmopolitan, while the wife could still carry on sampling the local stuff that was on the menu too. Very good food and service with an excellent view. A lot of places overlook the Caldera, but they all have different vantage points; we liked this place best; you can see just about everything in all directions. We were there for two and a half hours and were served desert wine on the house which of curse made us stay even longer. Prices the same as home in England which was ok by us. Its a smart boutique type place too which I thought made a pleasant change from Ye Olde traditional Greek taverna with bits of flotsam hanging from the ceiling. The icing on the cake was its situation at the southern part of town so it's just a short walk from the giant free car park were everyone leaves their hire car. Will definitely go again during our second week; the very friendly waitress gave us the table number to ask for when we make the reservation.
