This little tavern was the best place and lives up to its reputation. The queue was quite long and stretched down the stairs and we were about to walk away but the manager came down with two glasses of wine for us. We went back up to inquire how long it would take and a customer on the way reassured us that it was well worth the wait. So we waited... and not for too long. The place is a friendly homely restaurant with clean, tidy decor and exceptionally good food. Word of warning, the starters and mains are like American portions. We shared a plate of dips and it was a full meal! Sinead had the Moussaka which was divine and at the chef's recommendation I had the Souvlakakis(?) with mash. It was the most divine plate of food I had ever tasted. Definitely worth the wait. To top it all off, the restaurant waiters are friendly, chatty and notice every little detail. I saw them give out ouzos and plates of starters to different tables depending on their dining style and company. The manager even sat down with a couple and shared a few shots! For us, they decided we needed a little after meal aperitif to burn off the food we ate, and we had two nice little home-made limoncellos. Best restaurant in Santorini in our opinion!
