Armeni Village Rooms & Suites
Ranked #33 of 58 Hotels in Oia
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed June 4, 2013

My wife and me spent a weekend at Oia.
We chose Armeni village because of the good deal they made for us plus the fact that the access to the room had less stairs than most of the other hotels near by. Its location is excellent, especially for us who wanted to be near the central church. Very clean with amenities that met our requirements. The room was a very nice and simple double room, very simply but beautifully decarated (according to cycladic beauty), featuring a spacious and beautiful bathroom, with a window facing the excellent view. Our semi private caldera terrace was the best point though, facing the volcano, with a private use hot tub.

We stayed for a week at the Armeni Village and could not have been happier. The staff is very friendly and helpful. George and Maria helped us plan daytrips and gave great advice about which restaurants to choose. I can not say enough good things about the Armeni Village.

The rooms themselves are Spartan, but you won't be in them but for to sleep. The patio and pool views are simply unbelievable. All this for a fraction of what we would have paid at a luxury hotel!

Gorgeous hotel with amazing panoramic views over the caldera in oia! Located on the central pedestrian street so great location and easy to walk around from!

We had a traditional cave room which was big but it was quite dark! not luxurious but still nice. It did come with a private plunge pool which was gorgeous and have the most amazing views!

There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel itself butTry flora restaurant just opposite the entrance to hotel for the best milkshakes and draught beer!

You call up reception in the morning and they bring you breakfast so you don't get a choice which is a shame however it was a nice enough continental breakfast with breads, pastries, cereal, orange juice, fruit etc.

The only thing I would say is there is no security gate at the entrance to hotel and we would have felt a bit safer with something as the hotel is right off the main pedestrian strip.

We would recommend this hotel however for the views and price was good compared to other hotels in the area.

There is nothing really bad to say but also nothing great to say either about Armeni Village. Our room was fine. The bathroom was the best part. The views were good but not the best in Oia. We were actually awaken twice per night but the stray dogs fighting.

Dear our guest,

We appreciate the time you spent to write your review regarding your stay at Armeni Village Rooms & Suites.

We value our guest's opinion and any suggestions and comments are always welcome in order to improve our standards and services.

Regarding your comment about the view, we would like to mention that we respect your personal opinion but on the other hand we appreciate the choice of other guests who keep on choosing Armeni Village Rooms & Suites for our excellent service and the incredible views of the Caldera and the Aegean sea. As a matter of fact, the Caldera cliffs constitute a unique location in the world providing magnificent views.

Last but not least, we been surprised of your comment regarding the dogs fight during that night, as you did not refer anything to the reception the next day about this incident, and nobody else did. Your complaint, is the only we have received so far and as it seems it was a temporary incident.

Kind regards

George Dimitropoulos

The hotel has amazing views, delicious breakfast on the terrace and is in walking distance to everything. Not sure what else you could ask for in a hotel. The reception was very helpful with excursions and transfers. I could spend days just sitting there and reading. Incredibly peaceful and quiet.
