“Amazing view!”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

This hotel is very good and would strongly recommend it. Here if a few things that might me useful for you to know about this hotel:

There are 2 bus stops in Oia and this hotel is located right next to one. This makes it extremely convenient if you want to travel by bus. The hotel is also located about a 20 minutes walk from the spot where people watch the sunset. As such, it is more quiet, especially at night, and a very good place to relax away from the huge the tourists crowds. The cave rooms are worth it and they all have an amazing view. The cave rooms are also not connected to the actual hotel. This make them more private. Also, the 4 cave rooms are all connected by their balcony. That means that you need to go through other people's balcony to get to your room. There is one room at the end of the balcony row and this one will not have anyone walking through the balcony. This is the room we had and you can see the picture of the balcony attached to this review.

Room Tip: Select the traditional cave room at the end of the cave rooms row.

We made a booking for 5 nights in October 2013 and stayed in the Superior studio with caldera view located on the second floor. Beautiful view! Very good value for money. Large private balcony ( roof terrace). Excellent view and service. Central location.Very clean. Nikoleta is a wonderful host, very kind and friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! There are a lot of mini markets, but the one we can recommend because of the friendly owner and reasonable prices is Mini Market Local : owner Emmanouela Pagoni. The winery Domaine Sigalas is also well worth a visit.

Friendly staff and a superb room with good view! What really seal the deal was that the room was equipped with drinks (juice etc) and biscuits and so on! Very thoughtful!

Location wise, you can rent a bike easily from the shop opposite the villa. This place is good value for money!

We spent a week at Aspa Villas in a cave room overlooking the caldera....Nicoleta very kindly gave us a family room which gave us a bit of extra space. We arrived at night and Nicoleta and Dimitri met us off the bus that they had arranged (cheaper than a taxi and there are no road lights and a cliff top road so maybe not a good idea to drive your own hire car at this stage)Down a few flights of steps to our delightful room. Wandered down to the village a couple of hundred yards away to find a bustling street LINED WITH MARBLE!!!!!!!! and many restaurants and shops open .....everyone was very polite and welcoming, and we felt at home very quickly. No-one dragging you off the street to go into their shops, restuarants gave excellent service, sometimes a bit laid back when it was busy but when you're looking out over the beautiful sea and churches who cares? Woke up the next morning, opened the door, and there it was, right in front of us - turquoise sea, turquoise sky, little boats bobbing around, volcanic islands in the distance, startlingly white houses, blue topped churches.....we ate breakfast looking out over this amazing scene...and wanted to stay forever. Lovely weather - sunny 23°, 25° every day apart from day 1. At night we took a glass of wine out onto our little patio, sat in our chairs, put our feet up on the wall, and watched the sun go down. One night we had our dinner and then just sat and didn't move, we were entranced...a Tall Ship sailed out of Fira with all lights on, and as it crossed into the path of the moon we saw it had all its sails up, and we watched it sailing majestically along till it was out of sight round the far end of Santorini. I will never forget that holiday....and our gorgeous little cave room.

Room Tip: Cave room overlooking the caldera. We had no. 10 .......lots of steps though.

Me and my wife visited santorini recently in October 2013 and stayed at Aspa villas. The Hotel location is just awesome. We were given an awesome room, which had a beautiful caldera view and sunset. The view just incredibly awesome..
The hotel location is one of the best places in Santorini. It has good options of nice restaurants to have a quite dinner.. Though I dont think you need to go anywhere else to dine, the hotel room itself is so awesome that you wont feel like stepping out of the room..

About the service - the fridge was stocked with juice, water and few cakes which was a nice gesture by the owners.

Apart from the awesome location and view, I would want to mention the host Nikoleta.. She is very kind and friendly and has been of great help in our sight seeing. I think the hotel industry need to learn such manners as she demonstrated. I would highly recommend this hotel not only for the excellent view but also the excellent service that they give.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aspa. Our room was pleasant, comfortable and quiet. The fridge stocked with juice and a few cakes, which was a nice touch by the owners. The owners were helpful and friendly. The view on the communal terrace was simply stunning and a great place to have a drink and unwind. This place is in a great position away from what can sometimes be the busy streets of oia, we enjoyed the short stroll each day. Definitely a value for money place in oia, so much so we have booked a room overlooking the caldera for next september - as we missed this opportunity this time around and we can't wait to go back!

Our host Nicoletta was so kind and generous and helpful in every aspect of our stay. The family suite was very small but thats to be expected in such a great location. We had an amazing view looking West towards the setting sun, and if we walked 30m down to the private terrace which belongs to the Aspa Villas property, we could enjoy the 180 degree clifftop view of the caldera all day. The faciliites are basic and really not suited to self-catering, but the room was clean and well furnished. There is small plunge pool and jacuzzi on the property too.
