“Breathtaking!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2011

We had an all too brief stay at Andronis recently. Set in the most amazing location with breathtaking views of the caledra, the most romantic place to propose to my now fiancé :) Service was impeccable and all staff all to eger to help, especially Elsa who helped with ideas for where to pop the question, and a room upgrade to boot! Couldn't have asked for anything more, only wish we had more time in Santorini!

We stayed at Andronis in July for two nights and three days. Everything was amazing from the girls at the reception to the wine tasting to the breakfasts and the massage. I'm totally going back as soon as I get the chance. The staff were so polite and helpful, they arranged everything for us. The room was beautiful and spacious, and very relaxing. The view is breathtaking. I've been to so many five star hotels in the world, and many romantic places, but Andronis was just different. It was better than all. Totally recommended to anyone wanting to go to Santorini.

My wife and I stayed here for seven nights in mid July 2011 without the kids (it has a 13+ policy but we only saw couples staying there). The hotel, being situated on the pedestrianised road, was beautifully peaceful yet only yards from the fashionable boutiques and restaurants of Oai. We were upgraded to a pool suite (from talking to other guests upgrading seemed quite common - a good sign that the hotel is not just in business for the money but also to spoil guests at every opportunity). The room, fashioned from the rock, was cool, romantic and well designed. Room service, which we used mostly for breakfast, was always excellent but make a point of dining at the restaurant which is arguably the best on the island and not prohibitively expensive (you may need to book ahead as they limit the number of tables to ensure guests get perfect service from the terrific waiting staff, Oliver and Helga, and sommelier Pierluigi). The meal on our last night was quite possibly the best we've ever had anywhere - and we've been fortunate enough to dine at the likes of Marcus Wareing and Le Gavroche; the views were spectacular, the wine perfect, the lamb exquisite and the service faultless. My wife visited the spa twice and was impressed by the treatments she received. Everyone at the hotel, from the maids to the receptionists to the manager, John, were always cheerful and polite. We would highly recommend this hotel for couples who want a bit of five-star luxury in one of the world's most romantic settings.

What a fantastic hotel. The staff really go out of their way to ensure your every need is met. The manager, Yannis an assistant manager Elsa, deserve mention for going above and beyond the call of duty in making sure we had a comfortable stay. The location is perfect and right in the middle of the prime tourist strip in Oia and the rooms overlook the caldera. We were upgraded to a Grand Suite, and I highly recommend it. The views from the Jacuzzi are amazing (yet your Jacuzzi is totally private), and the suite is spacious, well designed and very comfortable. Do yourself a favor and have supper in their restaurant. It was quite possibly the best meal we had during 2 weeks in France and Greece. The restaurant is outside and looks out over the caldera and is about as romantic as you can get. Have a great time in Santorini, you can’t help but fall in love with the place.

A fantastic and opulent hotel, the suite was breathtaking. Incredible ambience of quality in every small detail.
The real jewel in the crown though was without doubt "The Staff" who without exception were so helpful, professional, friendly, and above all discreet, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Room Tip: They are all fantastic.

My husband and I stayed at Andronis in the Hephaestus Suite from May 27-June 1, 2011, while on a trip celebrating our second wedding anniversary. We were greeted by reception with champagne and told that we had been upgraded upon check-in. Our upgraded suite was AMAZING! It was huge, and the views of the caldera were breathtaking. Plenty of windows allowed the fresh air in, but there was also air conditioning in the suite if it got too hot. Out suite had its own private porch with a small hot tub for two which was beyond relaxing. Another option for swimming was the infinity pool, which overlooked the caldera and was surrounded by lounge chairs. The daily breakfast was delicious; I especially recommend the eggs and the chocolate croissants that come in the bread basket. It is such a nice touch that room service breakfast is included in the room rates; however, my husband and I preferred to eat out at the table by the kitchen so we could take in the gorgeous views and chat with the superb waitstaff. The formal dinner we had was fantastic, and the wine selection was great. The local tavernas, restaurants and day activities the staff referred us to were all very enjoyable; each recommendation better than the last! The entire staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home during our stay, and they succeeded! The service was possibly the most welcoming and professional group of individuals we have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. Be forewarned that you do need to climb a few dozen stairs to get up to the road (luckily there is a porter to assist with your luggage), and between the suites and the pool/dining area, but it is so worth it to stay at this magnificent property. We've stayed at a number of five star hotels in our travels, and this property is definitely among our top few favorites. We would absolutely love to visit Andronis Suites again, and highly recommend the property to anyone visiting Santorini!

I have just returned from a week at the Andronis Suites and felt compelled to write a review straight away on our stay.

Firstly, the welcome we received was fantastic after a day of travelling and airports etc and the glass of champagne certainly went down well as we toured what was to be our home for the next week. At the end of our tour we were taken to our room, which we were upgraded to, which was a fantastic surprise, all I can say is the 'exceptional suite' really is just that - exceptional. The staff looked just as pleased to be surprising us with the upgrade as we were receiving it. The personal touch was always there.

The pool area and general hotel service was absolutely second to none and all the staff were always discreet, yet always on hand whenever you needed anything, to us - this really was the showing of 5* service. By the end of our stay we felt like we wanted to personally thank and bid farewell to each staff member individually as they all made such an impression - from the reception, management, cleaners, waiters everyone really did contribute to such a wonderful stay. - for example, being clumsy, I accidentally knocked over a glass of water and broke the glass into a million pieces! - I opened the door to see if anyone was around, within a second of mentioning it (over the balcony!) to a waitress below, she was up herself with a dustpan & brush and mop clearing it up, no problems - and all with a smile on her face (which seems small, but is hard to come by these days it seems!) Also we ate room service, pool side lunch and also in the restaurant and can honestly say everything we ate every single day was fantastic. There wasnt a meal that either my partner or I were slightly disappointed by, it was all soooo yummy! (especially the greek sandwich & choc fondue...!! yum!)

I literally could rant on and on about how good this hotel is and what a fantastic time we had, but I dont think anything I can say will ever match up to how truly perfect it was. Both my partner and I have stayed in some fantastic 5* hotels across the world and we can honestly say this is the best food & service we have ever experienced.

...all we're disappointed about is that there arent more 'luxury suites' owned by the same people in other locations that we can visit. - looks like we'll just have to return to Andronis...!! what a shame...!!!!! ;-)
