First of all I will say this place has an amazing view (no different to the other 50 or so hotels on this side of the Island). The breakfast was average at best with a few slices of bread, some Spam and some plastic cheese. The coffee was watered down. The only plus side of this is the owner brings it down to you when you want and it might save you 15 Euro.

Now to the STENCH: we arrived late one afternoon and proceeded to the room allocated to us. Upon arrival the stench was noticeable immediately. It was coming from the bathroom. We inspected things ourselves and couldn't find anything visibly wrong. We went to notify the owner who came down and initially said there was nothing wrong. We argued that there was clearly a smell in the whole room and he said he would get it fixed the next day. The three of us did not venture far from the room all day and when we queried the owner about the problem he said he had fixed the issue. Which was impossible as we were in the apartment all day. We argued this fact with him but he continually claimed the problem was fixed and there was no smell.

The next day we went for dinner in Fira and came home after the sunset and we couldn't walk in the room because of the stench. Again we notified the owner who claimed there was no smell. Luckily we left the following day. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are 50 or so other hotels all with the same view and same price. Please do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. You deserve it.

We had a great stay in Rimida Villas. The traditional cave house was great, made the experience feel more authentic. The views are amazing! Loved the pool, within very short walking distance, very well maintained with great views. The staff was great, especially Dimitris who was very helpful in arranging activities, rental cars and giving helpful advice on what to visit and where to eat. Breakfast on the terrace every morning (served by Dimitris) was great. In short, a great place to stay in Oia - close enough to town (10 minute walk) yet quiet and very scenic.

Based on those excellent reviews on tripadvisor, I booked two rooms at this hotel (including one cave apartment for my brother and his wife, who were on honeymoon). While staying here, the mood of their honeymoon was ruined.

A long story in short. For no hot water, no refund (they said we booked on a “non-refundable rate”, do they understand the meaning of “non-refundable”?), no apology (due to their arrogance) from the hotel, accompanied with rude, unprofessional attitude. That night, four of us shared this tiny, shabby shower room and totally took us 200 minutes. We paid a villa rate for this shared shower room, like a hostel.

We have been offered €20 from booking.com (but nothing from the hotel management).

A useful tip for calling a taxi to the port: Rimida Villas offers 35 euro; if you call 2286022555 in English, then 30 euro: if you call the same number in Greek, then 25 euro.

We arrived to Santorini from Crete and this place really finalized our vacation. Now THIS, was a 'vacation'. That view!!!

It took us about 15 minutes from the bus stop to get to Rimida Villas. The room we got was amazing and the view... oh the view... nothing in front of us, just the blue ocean and the black island.... it was just breathtaking. The room was very cute and pretty - we loved the architecture and also the decoration. There was a wine waiting for us as well :)

Because the rooms are sort of build into the wall, it is nice and cool. The first night we just sat on our terrace and enjoyed the sunset from there instead of going to the famous sunset spot. We had a nice view of the sun going down behind the church far away.

The breakfasts were quite nice - we ate them on the terrace everyday. Demetri gave us really good tip to visit the Black Beach, White Beach and the Red Beach. He also told us that Akrotiri was open again! That was a really nice surprise as it had been closed for ever and it was just that year in April they re-opened (we were there in September). We visited all the places he recommended, including Old Thera, which was definitely worth going as well (don't forget to take lots of water with you though).

I saw in other reviews that some people found the bed too hard. We actually thought it was comfortable. It's definitely not rock hard. Also, although the pool is not right in front of your nose, the location is still okay and it is equipped with a kitchen and bathroom as well as change room. We only used it the last day after we checked out as our flight was later at night. Demetri offered this to us, and we really appreciated his hospitality.

All in all, we would recommend this place to anyone and would love to go back someday.

I spent a lot of time researching which hotel to stay at in Oia. I was very pleased with Rimida. Now, from what I saw, you can't go wrong with any hotel with caldera views. The view is so spectacular that you wouldn't mind staying in a cardboard box.are all spectacular and pictures do not do it justice. Rimida is well located near the beginning of the pedestrian area of town. I was worried it would be a little out of the way, but really it is a five minute walk to the "downtown" area and it was no problem. If anything, the area was a little quieter than the more centrally located hotels. Dmitri was very nice, helped us book tours, arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport for our 6 am flight, and even broke out the homemade wine when we were taking in a relaxing evening on the patio.
The room is simple and nice, but don't expect anything too fancy. It is more rustic. The bathroom, particularly the shower, is a pain as it is at the back of the cave and you have to squat and it's pretty impossible not to get water all over the floor. But, to me, these are minor inconveniences and the rest of the experience more than made up for it. For the value (the room is expensive but for Oia very reasonable), I think this hotel is a great option. I would definitely stay there again.

It has all the pre-requisitions of being an excellent hotel.

First of all, position is good. open the door walking out you can face with the sea everyday.

Secondly, view is amazing. You can enjoy sunset easily.

Last but not the least, service is splendid. Dimitris is warm-hearted and has lots of working experience of serving well. He made breakfast for us everyday, introduced nice restaurant to us, so that we could enjoy the really local food with reasonable price.

Generally, we feel comfortable and feel home. Santorini is a wonderful island, and this place is a wonderful stay point in this wonderful island. But be careful of the temperature gap. I went in February, at night, it was much colder and windy than in daytime, so when you prepare going to this island, it's suggested that bring more clothes which you might need at night.

The room was clean, full of character, and had amazing views. The best part by far was the owner, who walked us to dinner when we got in, provided great answers to us when we needed something, and even helped us get on the bus when we were leaving.

To get here from the port of Fira, take an official taxi, not a shuttle or anything that the rental car places try to get you to buy. It costs us 25 euro. Once you are near the main Oia area on the main road, the Rimida Villas are about 15 meters up a stone path away from the road towards the water. Once there, the buses are easy enough and cheap at 1.60 euro each way per person.
