“Great view, great value, great staff, but small bathroom”
Reviewed November 8, 2011

good
- great view from living room and bedroom: this is probably the best part of this hotel. You can not get this view anywhere in Oia.
- great staff: very kind, and helpful.
- great breakfast: they brough hot breakfast to our room, and it was great with nice view!
- clean room: room is well maintained.
- good internet: free internet was very useful.
- great price; you can not get any better value than this hotel in Oia

bad
- bathroom: it does not have a tub, and the shower facility is pretty uncomfortable.
- beds: pretty soft and cheap stuff. I could feel the bed spring.

The hotel is pretty nice, but you need a car to go to Oia. It is some distance away from Oia. I would rate this hotel 5 star if they had a better bathroom. for the value, I think this is one of the best hotels out there.

I think it is worth trying a few nights!!

Oia is ultimately the best and most beautiful town in Santorini. Have seen all those blue churches with the sea at the background? Yep, those postcards have been taken in Oia. It's also the most elegant and chic. Oia Suites it's not properly in town but it's just 4 minutes walking to it... Rooms are superb (bathrooms are just decent but the rest is fabulous), pool is paradise and service is AMAZING. By the way, the number 1 restaurant of Santorini according to TripAdvisor (and I have to agree, and add one of the best in Greece) it's in front of the hotel...

We stayed at Oia Suites for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. We'd read up on Santorini and knew that we wanted to stay in Oia so having seen a few good reviews picked Oia Suites.

We were completely blown away when our taxi dropped us off from the airport. The views are incredible and our room was spacious, clean with a lovely private balcony overlooking the pool. Paula welcomed us with advice on the local area and a bottle of champagne for the room.

During our stay, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The breakfasts are lovely, brought to your room at a time of your choosing. We ended up spending a fair amount of time at the pool which is so peaceful and we mostly had to ourselves.

The location is great too. Its about 15 mins walk to Oia along the cliffs. I'd recommend hiring a scooter or quad bike as we had a great couple of days exploring the island.

All in all, a fantastic place to stay to see the best of Santorini.

We stayed 3 night in there, and I have to say we had a great time!
the service was excellent, friendly and helpful staff, always there when you needed something.
The suites are clean, very well decorated, the bathroom is huge, and the views from the room was incredible !!
The breakfast was really good, the variety and the way they served it on the balcony is perfect.
There is nothing negative to say.
They also picked us up from the port, and gave us a lift when we left Santorini.
I give Oia Suites 10/10. no doubts !!

We were glad we chose to stay on the Oia side of the island, as we found Oia to be more charming than Fira. The hotel is a little bit out of Oia, about 30 mins walk to the centre, but the way is flat and picturesque when you get off the main road. The service was impeccable, very friendly, helped us organise a rental car and rang around a few places to get the best price. The suites are spacious, there is air con in the rooms as well as a pretty roomy fridge. The bed is comfy and there is a sofa bed in the lounge. The pool was lovely with great views over the caldera and towards Fira. If you cant be bothered walking into town for dinner, there is a fantastic little taverna right across the road from the suites - the food is absolutely delicious and they have live music by a guy who seems to be a bit of a legend around these parts.

Definitely rent a car if you are coming to Santorini - there is so much to see and the back roads on the island are peppered with beaches and vineyards that are absolutey gorgeous to look at. We went to the red and black sand beaches which were spectacular.

On the cliff top, with a gorgeous swimming pool, white houses, sun shining. It can´t actually get better. But it does.
The manager, Rousettos, will go the extra mile to help and provide ( I still remember the great lattes, freddos by the pool looking to the volcano...). His family helps with cooking awesome breakfasts, and even a nice little girl,Maria, is running all over the place, she made friends with my daughter.
Pick this place without hesitation. It is 10 minutes walk from Oia, but this is for the best, since the stroll is unbelievable.

Oia Suites has lovely very recently renovated rooms. We were upgraded to the Romantic Suite which was indeed romantic. The hotel has only 7 suites, and a pool with nice loungers looking out onto a spectacular Caldera view. We often had the pool area to ourselves. Our room had an excellent view from our private front patio as well as from the interior front door and windows. It looked like most rooms had a great view. Breakfast; including a freshly made ommelate, yogurt, cake, and coffee was one of the best we had in Greece, and brought directly to our front table each morning at a time scheduled by us (as long as it was between 8:00 and 10:30). The hotel is somewhat by itself, but is just a short walk to Oia (maybe 10 minutes). It is directly above the pedestrian path and enough above the main road that you don't hear any vehicle noise. It's also right across the road from Santorini Mou Restaurant which I would recommend for qualitly of food, reasonable prices and fun atmosphere.
