“Simple, good but overpriced ”
Reviewed April 11, 2014 via mobile

With an amazing view of Ammoudi bay you can't beat a romantic lunch here. Their fresh catch is on display and they serve high quality dishes. Be prepared to share though as the prices can be a bit high for lunch and the staff is very good at up-selling you to full sized portions. All in all a great spot to enjoy the sights and sounds of Ammoudi bay-

“You can call it simple and rudimentary, but the taste of the fresh fish is just impeccable!!!!”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

Katina's is the oldest tavern in Ammoudi. Although in the recent years a couple of other establishments have sprouted near it, it remains the one with the highest occupancy when the others are almost empty-and for good reason! Not only the staff are courteous, pretty good in english and the service is fast, but, above all, the fish is always soooo oh soooo fresh you taste/feel the Aegean sea with every bite! Of course when you order you have to go through the (normal for us greeks) ritual of following the person waiting your table to the glass-door refrigerator to choose your fish and weigh it; its eyes, bright and clear will tell you it is only hours since it was caught…appetizers, local wines etc and the ambience complete the nice experience …and the sea splashing at your feet-try to get a "seaside table"!

“100% Sea food tavern at the right location.”
Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

I do go there sometimes my self, bat mostly i recommend my precious clients to go or i take them there, mostly VIPs.
Located at port Amudi of Ia, the food is grate, well made, freandly people, fresh sea food and there is no supper decoration or service because Greek fish tavern mast be simple, traditional as they are.
The location front of the water with the fishing boats and the lava rocks above your head is a breath taking and is the reason you are there for!
There is 5 more similar tavernas in row, and they are all good.

Thank Christo G
